Their biggest mistake wasn't invading the USSR, they needed their oil. It was splitting their forces and pushing toward Moscow when they should've focused entirely on taking and holding the resources in the south around the Caucuses.
@JayTideАй бұрын
I'm of the same opinion. In 141 they should have liberated the Baltic countries and focused the rest of their efforts in the south. Also should have treated Ukraine as an ally and taken the southern oil fields and cutting off shipping traffic on the Vulga. Then in 1942 go for Moscow and Leningrad. Possibly would have worked.

@@JayTide Too simplistic from the historical prospective 1) The Ukraine especially the eastern and central could hardly be separated from Soviet Union ( needless to say that the majority of Jewish population was concentrated in Ukraine an not all ukrainians were antisemites 2) Some of the southern oil facilities were taken but destroyed and it would take months to restore their production. 3) Moving south stretches german military logistics 4) US started helping SSSR pretty soon not in full scale as in 1943 though. 3) The quick occupation of Moscow could've break the morale of Soviet forces but the probability of this was low. 4) SSSR had huge reserves. Despite the loss of almost 3 millions ( an entire army) it was able to bring fresh troops from Siberia and far east. 5) Soviet Army never valued the life of a single soldier and covered with bodies the path forward ...but it worked - german machine gunners ran out of ammunition.

According to historical records, Japan didn’t leave the US Navy “desolate” as stated. Their ill-planned, cowardly move unsuccessfully damaged the number of vessels intended, as many were not harbored. No serious military expert considers Japan's attack cowardly, just as no one considers Hitler's take over of Poland, Sudetenland, Austria, etc... cowardly. This was US propaganda to incite Americans to arms. It was a complicated naval strike plan that the US did not think Japan capable. The signs were there that there would be Japanese action against US interests, due to US policies against Japan. Japan wouldn't have attacked US if it didn't have colonies in Asia. Anyway, my point is USA was a valid target as it interfered in asian affairs.

He had to do many things to slow superior forces. First up, get the sewage canal ie win in Africa, This would slow the British empire my months. Don't fight the battle of Brittan - there was never going to be a Sealion (the Superior Royal Navy would say something about that). Employing a small army to persecute Jews. Failing to place puppets in the Baltic States and Ukraine thereby releasing hundreds of thousands troops. After failing in Russia, still trying to win instead of defending. Declaring war on the USA.
