The Fear of The Lord... Should I fear God?

You have what is called a "righteous fear" of the Lord. It's fear of displeasing him, and in that fear is also Love for Him. I am so glad to see you are doing well and growing in grace. There are many that do not have the Holy Spirit and have some other deceptive spirit which is teaching a doctrine of doing whatever you want. The Holy Spirit in you will Guide you and you will know by Him what is false or true. You are such a beautiful soul and with each passing month you are growing brighter and brighter in the Lord. The times are short, you are never alone and you are loved by all those that truly belong to Jesus. You are a blessing and I am sure you will help many out there in the world.

Thank you for that comment. It helped me to understand that a little bit better. Thank you so much for those kind words. It is encouraging and a blessing. Some people teach that if you fear God, you don't understand the gospel. I was also told that because I believe in obedience, it means I don't love God. These people are acting like it is a sin to fear God, obey him, serve him and do any good works. I am still confused about many things but God is guiding me. God bless

Yes that's what I noticed. People fear a policeman or a judge.. but when it comes to the creator and judge of the universe, people are like "You don't understand the gospel if you fear God and you don't love him either." He wants us to fear him so that we don't sin when tempted.

Obeying God is what you are supposed to do as a result of your salvation. You aren't doing it to earn His favour, but you love Him. You are thankful that He saved you so you do those works, which are given by Him, that none can boast. Antinomianism has infiltrated the Church.

Discernment is when you are able to distinguish between the spirits. For example, if you walked into a church, you will be able to discern what is really going on in the spiritual realm, beyond the surface level appearance. Everything may look fine on the surface level, but you may be able to sense that the kundalini Spirit is in operation there or that the jezebel spirit is in operation. The closer we are to God and more time we spend with Jesus, the more discernment we will have. You are able to recognise a counterfeit bank note by studying the authentic one. We can pray for wisdom and discernment about a situation and God will show us. When he gives us this discernment, we are protected from the enemy's schemes. It can even just be a feeling when we meet someone or go somewhere. Although things seem okay on the surface, something seems a bit off. With the gift of discernment, we can discern which spirit is in operation within the person or what is going on.
