Psalm 146 verse 7 tells us, “The Lord sets prisoners free”. Jesus came to liberate us from the worst kind of captivity - the chains of sin. It is a freedom that no one can take away - and is therefore especially precious to those who know what it is like to endure confinement or imprisonment.
