40 years as a Ferrari mechanic and hands down the 288 is my favorite car for the street. The 288 is so much fun, very forgiving and easy to drive. Having thousands of mile of seat time in 288's is one of my fondest memories, the only complain would be that the seat gets uncomfortable after a couple hours. Love these cars so much, seeing one brings back so many good times...

Missing Alain's great automotive contributions. Thanks for featuring him! It's uncanny that the turbos don't stifle the sound of that V8, but instead it has an outrageously great exhaust sound. It almost sounds like that was the sound chosen for Petrolicious' opening.
@goognamgoognw66374 жыл бұрын
Honestly as a NA V8 owner, no turbo can match a naturally aspirated induction in sound, not even a GT0 288. The turbo changes the exotic rocket sound into more of an oversized tin can sound, although the V8 helps saving it. Today the V8 are replaced with puny i6 or V6 and the sound just sucks.

Wow! What a video! I was glued to the screen the whole time also props to Alain, brilliant presenter, furthermore the 288 GTO is one of my all time favourite Ferrari's, it's absolutely stunning! This is a top notch video and also very beautiful with all the snow and scenery. 10/10 will be watching this video again very soon.
