Just like Tetris, this game requires a lot of planning ahead. Unlike Tetris, the physics, and other players being able to screw you over, usually means planning ahead is only good until "Oh god why vines again?" 1:00 Tyler was building the Tower of Pizza... Hut. So wrong there's no way to fix it.
