Minotaur returning and "out for blood" is the perfect way for you to describe the Brazilian Bull this season, Jevan. They lost to Witch Doctor in controversial fashion last year, and with the new rule changes in effect now, I have a feeling that they're gonna channel all that anger and frustration from last season onto their opponents. Plus, I hope they're able to break their curse of losing their first fight in the fight cards, just like Rotator did.

The moment I saw this video in my subscription feed my hype level cranked to a million. Battlebots s7 is here and I cannot wait. The field is full of returning bots from last season plus some new interesting unique newcomers. Beta, deathroll & monsoon, wonderful to see them after a long break. At this point we're used to seeing no bite force, but first time ever no tombstone, that's still crazy but understandable. I know my special someone may be gone forever, but now is the time to find someone new to cheer on for. Skorpios as a 2nd favorite would always be a default, but I always want that flipper to cheer on to fulfill that hole. Blip has done really well last season so he'll probbaly get some tougher opponents. I always welcome new flippers so i will look for banshee performance. And lucky, super super impressive, that 1 flip in the p1 fight really made me excited to see what more they can bring, plus the new driver is so good last season so hoping they do well again. For everyone else (except one) I wish them all the best of luck that they perform with their full potential putting on a great show for the fans

Very disappointed by the number of promising rookies and even veteran teams stuck in reserve, how are they supposed to prove themselves without competing in Fight Night? Also saddened by the lack of Tombstone (get better soon Ray!). Overall though this is an amazing roster of bots, even most of the new verts are interesting designs. My money is on Minotaur, Sawblaze, or any of the Florida Bot Mafia (Hypershock, RotatoR, Witch Doctor) to take the Nut this year, I feel like those wins are long overdue. But also excited to see how well old favorites Quantum, Death Roll and Monsoon will fare.

I'm predicting End Game has a huge chance, considering how well they do (including the 15 second knockout against Tombstone!). I would love if SawBlaze won, though! Or heck, if Tantrum can keep their position. I'm sad to not see my boy, SubZero. But I'm glad his team is still joining Lock Jaw this year. Looks I'll be rooting for a former champ as well, LOL.

I'm kind of sad some of the other bots and some of my favorites from last year and from other previous years didn't comeback, and didn't get the returns I was hoping for and some bots got rejected. But I like this new field of robots some new bots, new designs, and big returns that I so deeply like. Looks like there's going to be some epic fights this year nice.

Yep; it was brought in by the Skorpios team as an alternate. Also, we know that they at least got one fight in the box- not sure against who, but they did have at least one. Also, the Skorpios team had a special attachment that wasn't mentioned on this video that was mentioned on their blog- a giant knife, given to them by Christian Carlberg (in the style of Overkill).

Honestly I thought Minotaur shouldn't have been invited this year, or Daniel Fretas at least should not have be allowed to compete this season. I thought their behavior last year, including yelling at one of the founders of BattleBots was horrible and that there should have been consequences.

I think there probably would have been, emotions run high in the battlebox, however, people should treat other people with the same respect they deserve. If I can spoil anything, from what we saw in the audience, the vast majority of teams acted in a manner that didn’t let them down. It was encouraging to see and far more like the sport I know and love.

Reserves come in if a main competitor fails to pass safety in time OR if a main competitor has failed to pass safety they become themselves a reserve. They will also be fighting this season in special exhibition fights, along with fighting in the Sin City Slugfest

Then the BattleBots wiki is wrong. Here’s what happened: Double Tap and Doom were main season competitors but dropped to reserves after failing safety enough times/not being ready to fight. Big Dill and Shreddit Bro took their places. Rusty was always a reserve I believe

Battlebots always has reserve bots in the field. They fill out the fight cards, but don't get the 3 fights and don't get in the tournament.

@@54racemanit’s more because of how sponsors work… If you get a sponsor that is too big, discovery will take the money and add it to the entire shows budget. Leading up to the 2020 season, Team Bite Force had a couple very large sponsors, who discovery instructed to sponsor the show itself and not a robot. So, the sponsors pulled their support from the team. This isn’t 100% exactly how things went down, but it should give you an idea.
