Uruguay/Argentina should have been the ONLY hosts. 100 years it was the right thing to do. Corruption in FIFA doesn’t change and they go unchecked

Uruguay and Argentina have economic issues and cant host the WC. This isn't corruption, the majority of the FIFA council voted on the Iberian bid, so it will be held there. Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will only host the first 3 opening matches.

Personally I have always been of the opinion that it should just be a massive single elimination tournament, Every single Nation gets in, and it would take seven wins to win it all.

This is by design and it’s pathetic. Continents have to go two world cups before they can host again. CONCACAF is hosting in 2026. They can’t host until 2038. UEFA, CAF, and CONMEBOL are now hosting in 2030. None of them can host until 2042. Oceania is not big enough to host an event of this magnitude. That leaves only Saudi Arabia for 2034 and only the United States for 2038. Well I’m happy if United States will be the only one eligible to host in 2038 because no one else in CONCACAF will be able to do it on their own, it’s an absolute disgrace and makes a joke of the entire tournaments. I hope the players refused to go with the national team to Saudi Arabia over the human rights and civil rights violations and abuses by the dictatorship. That is the only thing that could potentially ruin this plan for FIFA. If their best players from national teams refused to travel to Saudi Arabia. Hopefully Japan/South Korea also make a bid for 2034 to try to add some competition and hopefully restore some sanity to FIFA. Also, Australia does not compete with Oceania. They are members of AFC. New Zealand is the largest member of Oceania. Lastly, people talk about the travel in 2030 but it’s not really any different than the travel in 2026. The entire continent of Europe is 3,930,000 mi.². The area of the United States alone is 3,800,000 mi.², Canada is 3,860,000 mi.², and Mexico is 761,000 mi.². Combined, although of the World Cup locations only cross for time zones, these countries have a total of 8 time zones covered. How does that make the travel between 2026 and 2030 any different?

The only way this could maybe work out well is if 3 teams from North or South America could play against Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, and then all travel to Spain, Morocco or Portugal for the rest of the tournament. Hopefully Saudi gets to host in 2034 💪🇸🇦❤️

Maybe it's simplistic but I just think of how their marketing is bolstered by this. The passionate fan will still tune in and the casual will find it appealing. I don't particularly care for it but I don't think they care about the likes of me.

It was bad enough the 2026 WC is in three nations, especially considering the US is one of the few nations that already have enough large stadiums built to host...it just seems to spread it out too much between the three. It doesn't look like one country will ever host again, save maybe Saudi or China. Just seems wierd that Qatar got to host by itself, and had to build all new stadiums where most won't get used, and the US is sharing. Although, I can see adding Canada, considering they wouldn't have enough large stadums. Mexico would be able to pull it off by themselves too.

the lack money of the south americam countries made this happen as for other things I think argentina, uruguay and paraguay qualifing isn't so bad I don't like the format but I think it was the only way to comemorate these south american countries

I've heard the 2066 word cup final is to be held in Mars. 😅 Na. But to be honest mate. Fifa and uefa are the biggest problem with football now. We need a whole new government body in the game. The changes that have happened since 2000 have slowly killed the sport. One world cup. One host nation. What's next? The Olympics being joint held in New York and shanghai..
