I like how so many people climb mountains and they hit the summit and that's the goal and its a good goal because that climb looks very hard for the average person. These people hit the summit and they're like ok we summited this mountain now lets do what we actually came here to do and ski down this gnarly looking steep rocky avalanche chute.

I feel like a scold for saying this and it's probably obvious to everyone, but... assessing avalanche safety is way more complicated than that brief "ECT digression". For one thing, Cody (I think) mentioned a persistent weak layer early in the video. Those can be present in some places but not in others due to wind and weather affect on the early-season hoar, so if you don't dig your pits in the right places you won't find the true hazard. When Cody mentioned doing "hasty" pits on the way up, that's one way to test whether the snow has changed relative to what you tested. Also, those beacons aren't much use if you expose 3/4 of your party at the same time on the way down. I'm sure that Cody and co had a very good handle on the hazard and were perfectly safe in doing so, but for the rest of us it's a good idea to only expose one skier at a time, both climbing and descending (see: 4/20/13 Sheep Creek avalanche for an example of not limiting exposure on the ascent). With that said, see avalanche.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/06_ISSW_Simenhois.pdf if you want to geek out on the test they used.
