Seattle Channel presents "The Fight Against Fentanyl," a documentary about the deadly synthetic opioid responsible for claiming the lives of 150 Americans daily, including at least two people a day in King County. Available for about $1 a pill, fentanyl is often added to other street drugs to make them 50 times more potent than heroin, with deadly consequences. Through conversations with affected families, community leaders, and law enforcement, the film showcases the collaborative, multi-pronged efforts aimed at stopping the growing crisis.

I started doing drugs since my teenage, got addicted to fentanyl. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with OCD. Fentanyl addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Thanks for sharing your story. That's rough I sympathize. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health. I will pray for you all.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Germany don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

wanting to get clean off 30s , and the worse pain i have ever felt is these withdrawals . if it didn’t feel like i was dying after only an hour of not having them , i would be off 100% . but fighting the withdrawals while having to work 5 days a week and not having the option of going into a treatment facility is the worse . hiding in the bathroom because i’m waiting for my girl to bring me something at work because i didn’t bring enough … wouldn’t wish this on anyone . just dying is so much easier than living through this ! went from dealing them to hooked on them and the one constantly needing them . 15-20 blues a day feels almost impossible to overcome

You can do it. Be positive and declare out loud that this addiction has no more control over you. I've never been an addict but I was on Xanax for many years for my anxiety and just getting off I'd them was torture. I chose to not let myself get that way because I have lost numerous cousins in the past from overdose. Also while growing up in my teenage years I watched my dad battle this disease. It took him a very long time and numerous rehabs. But he eventually got clean after many years. Thanks be to God because he deserves all the glory for it. I am so thankful that back then fentanyl wasn't around then. You have to want to be sober and be sick and tired of being sick and tired. Give it to God and he will step in and do what you can't. Many prayers for you

I've been on it for 20 some years. six a day, now I'm down to two a day on my own. It's something I wish I would've never taken any of it. And it is hard you think about that high. The pharmaceutical companies need to be held responsible for their lie about painkillers. Yes I'm a cancer survivor so far 14 years but I'm in pain daily from treatment and other complications from the surgeries. But if they don't catch them in the act of selling meth with but they die how can we take them from the streets or in her case deport her back to Mexico.. that way she can be the queen seller there because those people that have given me info say she tells everybody they can't sell no drugs that's where she is the Reina. But the police didn't even know where she lived but knee the store. Is where she would be found eventually.. but if this keeps happening as they don't busting this cause of drug users dying I'm sure the parents will get justice by streets sooner or later. That's how the streets do it these days.. my son was an addict of alcohol and meth but he never did other drugs because he was not into even taking medications unless I forced him when he began having mental issues from not sleeping. But I had been telling him about all these bodies being found around here with. No report on cause I figured it was fentenyl and I began looking for coroner's. Cause and none was shown because they don't get info this immediately. I learned to go look back 60 to 90 days later but I. Had not kept names that long before my son's death. But I didn't wait because s friend said they left the pipe there I said yes he said I. Can't get text strips and text the pipe if you want to know sooner.. do said yeah so he got mask goggles gloves and he put water into it and then tested it 2 times both came back positive for it so. I called coroner told if he could. Give the bag of drugs to have it tested by police he said a certain officer had picked it up. I called over and over. Asked for her to call me in October but that officer to this day never called me back.. so maybe she or he sold it to Dr other kid it's like alot of COps are crooks like thugs around here now days.. because I seem the bag it was alot of drugs so they can make a hundred or more and who cares if another addict dies I'd the way it seems to be anyways.. I think the government made vivid to kill off elderly and allow fentenyl to kill drug users now to be honest.. it began with heroin then the pain meds now even pot had been found positive for it. I've heard it because I've been asking people that I've know to be into that life but if my health didn't keep me home all the time if be like those other parents and pushing for things to be done but they'd why we need trump. Back in president of united States again and I did not vote for either of them I left it blank years ago his first term but did the 2nd.

With regard to your comment, are you aware of how many _'secret tunnels'_ exist under the border from Mexico to the US? This border nonsense with regard to drug proliferation is absurd. It's not even a bandaid and *far* from a solution. Legalizing and regulating drugs across the board could actually help people, potentially put the cartels out of business and theoretically produce a far greater outcome. I say that while not even fully supportive of this method. -- Though it makes far more sense than wasting billions to further _'secure'_ a border crossing that's partially irrelevant to traffickers.

People have got to want to help themselves. There’s no way you can force treatment on a person. Because of this, sadly, a lot more people will die of an overdose of drugs like Fentanyl and there isn’t really any effective way of preventing it. The only hope I see is educating kids so that they understand the danger of drugs like Fentanyl so they aren’t tempted to experiment with it. It’s a tough problem with no easy solutions.

This film ignores one important fact. The fact that people don't just turn to fentanyl or heroin. They get there start in a fucking doctors office with a doctor who prescribes them some kind pain medication for something. Whether it's a sports injury, or a tooth ache. Most people are then cut off by their doctor, not given any kind of referral to a medication assisted treatment (MAT) facility. The doctors are not being held liable for addicting their own patient to narcotics and people are just shown the door. It's a broken system, that turns people into addicts and the doctors need to be held accountable. And the pharmaceutical companies making billions need to be sued.

What if we tried a different approach, instead of wasting so much money on this war on street drugs. If people had access to universal Healthcare to get treatment for the issues that drove them to drugs to begin with is a start be it mental or physical reasons people turn to drugs. Many with drug addiction fear detox, so maybe another approach would be better. Like helping them taper even if it takes 5, 10, or more yrs. Wouldn't it be better than death. And the "drug" is coming from a safe source... seems government is opposed to anything that can actually help! A waste of tax dollars frankly!

All of the debates and proposed solutions to the Fentanyl flooding into the US, has neglected to say the problem is truly all about the fact that America is addicted to getting high, feeling good or better about their surroundings and situation. Addicted to wanting to escape their problems, make them go away temporarily. It is what drives the drug cartels to ship more in volume and potency. If we as a nation straightened up, and got sober, we could solve a lot more problems than this one. No one can make anything better by putting off facing their problems without being sober and in control of their thoughts. and what comes out of their mouth.

9 years I asked my mom why the dead guy in the restroom was stiff like a statue, and why it took three men to put him in a car? She told me it was ricomorous, And the man was dead weight..... She told one of her hingements. Don't you dare take that needle out of his arm, that's sacrilegious! He died loving what he loves to do.... She had a collection of hats and Sunglasses. She would sit these guys down at a bus stop.... Laughing about it, I had seen people killed before, Little kid friends of mine gunned down at the school bus stop.. The reality of breaking bad a drug syndicate..... Members have to go to prison in order to be trusted into the organization.... I would go into the trunk and play with the guns that they have in some broken down car..... She told me if I tell the story before she's dead. They'll put her in jail.... She told me how dangerous the world was and I believed her... I had seen people murder in front of me at this point I was dissensitized... A real moment we had when the body was being loaded into the car.... She told me the reality of the world. Is nobody cares this guy or some other guy dies of drugs? If you like doing drugs, this is where you're gonna to end up... At the age of 12 years old, there was a girl. I used to hang out with her neighbor she was beautiful. I used to smoke pot at her house.... My mom came in buzzing from hard liquor working at the bar... They had a hand-to-hand combat. My mom grabbed like 3 knives off of the counter and started putting them into Gloria one by one..... When she got next to her ear with a knife I looked away.... My mom told me to leave..... My mom disappeared for a couple of days.... I was instructed not to answer the door. I expected the fire department to come, but they entire apartment of hers burned to the groand nobody showed up..... Albuquerque, new mexico It's not what you people think. It is in that breaking bad, ridiculous sesame street puppet show..... Robbery's was usually the main staple of her income, selling guard dogs and training them to attack..... She had this thing. Doctor's offices like a list. And they would rob these people...... I didn't talk to her much. It was usually fish sticks, tater tots, and a couple of days without seeing her...... She's half portuguese makes me three quarters portuguese because she was raped by her father.... A blind preacher tried to kill me. So my grandfather damn your blown his head off with a shotgun.... He slammed her on the ground while she was six or seven months pregnant.... I think at this point my grandfather had had enof this man's biblical animosity towards me..... I'm not an abomination..... I have struggled to survive. I deal with racism and a lot of issues in Seattle, Washington...... I'm here to tell you that drug dealers will never stop selling drugs unless they go to prison, And when they're in prison, they will be talking to the people out here that sell drugs..... I'm also here to tell you that no drug addict will ever quit. Doing drugs, it's not something they do. It's more or less like a career....... I'm not from albuquerque New Mexico My mom took me there because..... The border town that we are from was too dangerous supposedly.... My grandfather is over a hundred years old and he was a war hero of world war two Full-blooded Portuguese..... He still has two attempted murder charges and he lives in california.... This is the man that saved my life. Casmido Parada.... An abomination telling you about drugs from the perspective of Is someone who lived through it.... I tried to get in contact with my mother in Pensacola, Florida, Trying to lead me to believe that she is dead..... I asked my grandmother about this she's also about a hundred.... I could barely hear her voice on the phone..... She told me my mom was still alive in Pensacola, Florida...... That goes to show you the most evil people on Earth Will never die......

Everything comes from the brain so if you can't control your brain it will lead you to a downhill spiral. It has to be from what YOU make your brain do that matters. Withdrawal is too hard so they give in to the brain and then right back to the way they were. The brain has the most power, but getting it to do right is the choice the person must make.

People abuse tobacco, alcohol, benzos, heroin, cocaine, meth, and so many more. People who rely on them (from a medical perspective) are being punished with production limits, quantity limits, and more. I depend on opiates for pain control and yet I’m having an ever increasing difficult time acquiring the meds I need. All these limits just push legitimate users into turning to illegitimate sources for the drugs they are literally medically prescribed.

Every time the Seattle City Council rolls out a new program like LEAD / Harm Reduction, the homelessness / addiction problem gets worse. Over a billion dollars has been wasted on non-profit organizations, and the problems get worse. It's time to bring back the cops and offer treatment / jail as the only options.
