DJI Mavic Pro is a beast, I found one while hicking in Alberta, it was flying over my head and crashed like 20 feet away, I grabbed it, knowing that they know their last location on GPS and waited for the guy to come pick it up, he was soo happy to get it back he offered me 100$ and I refused, I gave him back because If it would have been me, I would appreciate someone doing the same. Just like you, Ive crashed mine soo many times and still kicking after all the beating and abuse. Great product!!!

I've left comments before about your videos, and basically, I'm just giving you feedback here, but when it comes to quality and production, my opinion is that it can not get much better than your videos. On top of content, locations, audio, and the upbeat optimism that comes along with your videos is why I keep watching. Every video is a high quality introduction to what was, way back when. Me and my girlfriend wait to watch your videos together like a tv show lol. Just a great way to escape for a minute.

You used a lot of words related to lenses and stuff that mean about as much to me as the truck build lingo but I do love seeing behind the scenes. Great video as usual, just a quick tip, for the video micro mics being too heavy on your cameras and flopping down, the cold shoe thumb screw has a bunch of notches in it and is designed to hold the red wire, so just stretch the wire taught to where the mic sits level (with the deadcat) and stick it in a notch, problem solved!
@ResaleRenegade
@ResaleRenegade Жыл бұрын
2:14 - flip the mic cable wire around so that the long side plugs into the mic, and the short side plugs into the camera. Then, take the straight portion of the cable and push it into a groove on the knob that secures it into the hotshoe. Then, you can use that tension to hold your mic horizontal instead of it falling forward. ;)

Thanks for the behind the scenes look Do you find there is a huge quality boost when filming with cameras+lenses as opposed to cell phones? I was looking up the prices in amazon while you were talking and felt a bit ill I use iPhone13, iPhone8 and iPadPro for my channel and usually do film in 4k even if I only publish usually in 1080 I think we have the same exact slider? mine has a wired remote which was cheaper and didn't need a cell phone to control, so easier to use and faster. You are going to love the M-series Apple laptops, had one for 2 years now and FinalCut makes for a deadly combination

That slider unit really has produced some excellent shots and made me wonder how the camera was moving if you were on film. Nice review of everything else, too. Making a start on filming stuff myself but just using my current and older iPhones and some external microphones. Picked up a nice used gimble, too. Will see what I can come up with out of that for now. What do you use for external mounts on the truck for your camera? I’m guessing you put a GoPro on the outside but I’ll be using an iPhone so don’t want to lose it, even though it’s an older one. Thinking of using a suction mount and a secondary magnet with a fine wire as a back up to catch the phone if it does come off.

hey buddy, if your wanting to work with 4k. From bigger files like log files, on lower computer. Make proxy files and relink media when cooler correcting. Personally I have a m2 shoot canon log and still make/work with proxies, butter smooth editing. Personally I use QuickTime Pro res low as my proxy codec. All the best, Holmen.
