The Final 10% of This One-of-a-Kind Build is So Painful Yet Crucial!

The final 10% of any build is the hardest. This is especially true for a one-of-a-kind aircraft motor in a Volkswagen Kombi. The finish line is in sight, but a long list of small, essential tasks remains. We're ticking boxes, and in a few weeks, we hope everyone gets to hear how wild this motor and exhaust will sound. Stay tuned!

I’ve been a commercial construction manager for over thirty years. My favorite axiom is “the last ten percent of the project takes ninety percent of the time”. Love your work and always hang in there!

I really like that color as well Jordan, it has depth to it especially with the clear coat over it. This entire build series has been amazing. I’ve said it before but your attention to detail is exemplary.

Hey Jordan, nice to see the van coming together for the last time and love all the fine details like the hardware on the louvered panels, nice touch! Thanks for the video Jordan and hope you have a great week!

Amazing engineering and detail to this project! You're going to have to furnish a shop manual with this one!😁

i like what the guys at retropower in the UK are doing. Their shop software allows you to build a manual, with parts lists, pictures of everything, etc. makes for a functional key fob.

Have a SPAL fun pushing through the rad on my '46 Ford Business Coupe to cool an aluminum head SBC ...that fan is more than enough to cool! "When we run over a small, cute labrador." A-and that made me lose my sh!t! Literally had to try and explain to the wife my giggly joy! All the small artistic and thoughtful details is what sets your work apart and elevates the build! Hope you take this as a compliment...you travel the Foose, Brizio path of form, function, and artistic detail. Haven't seen Josh in a bit, is Martin his new drinking game replacement? Hmm, your Roadster on a '32 frame on a dolly...something happening here? Yes to bother the devil and topper, I'm sold! Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward!

Hahah! Martin could be- you might be drinking more! He’s getting comfortable watching me work! Yup it’s time to crack on the roadster! No point having it bolted to the wall. It’s time to drive it

I'm a new subscriber, but i want to say that you guys build some top notch stuff.. Always loved V Dubs.. I would love to have a barndoor restomod.. Maybe you guys could build me one.. We have a company here in the states that has a huge fan that circulates water thru it and cools the area down considerably.. you guys should look into something similar... Well thx for sharing your skills with us and stay cool...

Galvanic corrosion is the term you were looking for. The green colour is not dissimilar to the 'greens' found in aviation, usually inside the aircraft. That said the Japanese & the Russians use a bluer green which is an interesting colour.

You can also "Pot" your rivnut,. use an epoxy compound to seal the rivnuts in the aluminum. We used to seal fasteners that had to be water tight that way.

!thank you! It just dawned on me how to use nutserts to make my 68 mini van easily convertible between sliding rear windows and closed sides. That splitty is looking mint. That colour looks very close to my mini. “Malmo Green” nice in small doses but an entire car, a bit much 😅

It looks like you have a mascot for the BC workshop now with "Malcolm" taking up residence, the Flyer is really getting close to take off now, how did you end up latching the engine compartment door, I dont remember seeing that in the vids.Nice work once again Jordan. Cheers Greg

Hey Jordan, what a fun video today! I've always loved the VW Bus! And the Radial Flyer is just wonderful. I'm one of the people that can hardly wait to hear it. Your detail work is so great! And that holds true for the new cast license plate/lamp/reflector bracket, too. You've done such a great job on your channel. Just love it.

I think in a situation where a vehicle has a vintage aviation, or maritime vibe , stainless really does the job . And , yes , stainless to stainless threaded fasteners will gall , so a NEVER-SEIZE type of thread coating is needed . MLNR JIMMY53 MIDNIGHT RAMBLERZ MC
