The Final Battle (FFIV) is one of my favorite boss themes in all of Final Fantasy, so I was looking forward to how it would be remixed in FFXIV. I was not disappointed. If anything, I stayed on the arena before the fight (when the Raid itself opens up for the first time) and just idled, listening to the song.

That music is just so urgent and suspenseful. It makes you feel nervous; if that's the intention, then the music team certainly knows what they're doing. (As if that was a surprise :P )

When I first heard this music I was straight up intimidated. It was otherworldly. Other people have mentioned that it has major Giratina vibes, so maybe I was having repressed memories from that one Legends: Arceus fight too lmao

That was actually one of the big hiccups with Zeromus' design back in FF4. An immobile sprite with heavy detail work ended up losing a lot in the shuffle. It took years for me to realise where the eyes actually were. Now though? Clear as a bell.

@@TheSawtoothNomad What i think is that after 10 yeras of build up giving us a lvl 83 or was it 84 boss trial against a easy peasy Zodiac is a waste of these 10 years of foreshadowing. Overall i think Endwalker besides its high notes was a waste of potential & needed 3 expansions. As in take their time to let the final days play out. Instead we got a rushed Zodiac fight. A off screen nuked Garlemal. The Final Days happening in the span of 35 minutes if you add the space quests onto it. A last minute time travel plot to gives us the real big bad with at best 15 minutes of build up for them vs 10 years of foreshadowing that some kind of weird sound/entity is inside our planet. But yes Zeromus is a better Zodiac fight than what we got at the lvl 84-83 trial.

@@TheSawtoothNomad There isnt much to miss. Zodicas placement in the story was just a huge let down. They could have given us a grand Zodica bossfight in Enwalker Expansion 1. Then let the final days play out over Endwalker Expansion 2. For what do we have the Fate system if not for this to spawn Terrors & Nigthtmares given form all over the maps for players to clear in a "global evnet". Maybe put one or two world bosses ala Odin/Behemot somehwere. Expansion 3 could have been the plot twist to reveal Twitter as the final endboss & build up the whole entropy/despair theme. Before it was a "sound from sapce" it was a sound inside the earth. Plus Midgasommnir not reviving & his corpse/spirit suppressing the entity below the silver lake sea. Which implied he knows whats inside the planet. But whatever. Even Yohi-P cant win against japanese corp politics & shareholders.

You all are missing the point. *Spoiler Alert* Zodiark *IS* our Zeromus. Zeromus is based on FF4. Zodiark may come from FF Tactics Advance & FF12 but make no mistake, the battle against Zodiark near the end of Endwalker is a big reference to Zeromus in FF4. This here is just a repeat of it all just as Zeromus Malice is in FF4 The After Years. Zodiark was the highlight for me personally because it allowed me to dance in front of my friends and go " _I was right, I was right!_ " after being so wrong about Shadowbringers, the expansion that so utterly disappointed me, plus it was a fantastic finale. Well, right before I was slapped in the face with the true enemy of course. Shadowbringers disappointed me immensely because it spits in the face of old school FF by saying " _Ya' wanna be a Warrior of Darkness? Just slap the label on ya and succ that sweet light up!_ " and that's not how it worked...
