In the theatrical release I felt like the whole plot was them relying heavily on Superman to do most of the heavy work. In Snyder Cut the heroes did their best as a team and felt like reviving Superman was a side quest.

They actually *lost*. It was Barry that saved them from the motherboxes uniting, and it took ALL of them, working together, to actually BEAT steppenwolf and his forces. this is so much better than "recognize that smell?"

Everything aside, I don’t think the CGI, the acting, or the writing are the worst things in this movie. The worst part of the movie, in my opinion, was the forced inclusion of the Russian family that served no purpose other than to drain 10-15 minutes of runtime for what could have been used to showcase something cool and expository, like the Knightmare sequence, but instead was spent watching them be saved like they were some sort of priority. Thanks Whedon. The fans truly appreciate your efforts. Edit: I’ve seen the Snyder Cut. It completely destroys the Josstice Cut.
