30-06 is old reliable but lots of bullet drop so you really have to know your cartridge when sending it down range compared to 6.5 creed where the drop is near minimal

Fuckin semi auto 300 blackout with a Canon digital scope, the Semi auto 270 short mag, 223 SUPER short mag (yes 223 WSSM", also weird shit like 240, 264 Weatherby, and for being quiet he had a souped up 17 he could put an eye out with. Plus he made his own rounds and they would be Ridiculous Just tipped with like the craziest stuff. Suffice to say our deer never ran.

@@Dcm193 I would not use .357 on a deer. If I’m hunting a deer I want a good hunting bullet in a caliber with adequate sectional density, preferably moving above 2400ft/s at the muzzle. You can get hunting bullets in 5.56 but I don’t trust their expansion enough for a fast kill on game that size Fortunately any gun that can shoot 5.56 can be rechambered/rebarrelled to shoot 300BLK/6.5G/6ARC which are all great deer cartridges. So no need to even bother with 5.56

Most people thinking "hunting" is hiding in a stand above a feeder or in a blind close to decoys. To me, that's not hunting. I learned to get rabbit and squirrel by WALKING through the damn woods. I also don't need a stand and bait to get a deer. ill never understand how someone can teach an animal to come here and eat, it's safe only to shoot it.

​@@DrMurdercockI used to think hunting was so cool and hunters were badass, in Mexico my uncles hunted rabbits we shook agave plants to get them to run out of their nest and would use either a sling shot and a rock to kill them or a little 22 rifle. Here in America people get up at 3am to sit in a few feeding spots pouring deer piss on and around them because they don't know shit about actually hunting. I don't have respect for game and bone hunters, they wouldn't be able to survive without someone else making all their gear for them. Hell boar hunters at least have a little more fun they ride 4 wheelers and trucks with 30-50cals literally mounted on and of course extended mag AR's and AK's, but those men still couldn't hunt without trail cameras and a farm with full harvest being there.
