Zelda is not exactly known for its story, but this game manages to do a lot with a little. So awesome, and nice to see Zelda herself get a little more time to shine

I had to do the tears to know what happened to her. The thing that is crazy to me (and I haven’t finished the game so I could be wrong) is that this means there were two simultaneous master swords, Zelda as a dragon, and the original ganondorf existing in hyrule throughout the entire timeline

Imo both BOTW and TOTK (past and present) take place long after any other games in the series. I know TOTK's past features the formation of Hyrule kingdom, but I don't think that can make sense unless the "formation of Hyrule kingdom" is really just the formation of it's current iteration in BOTW/TOTK

Holy shit Andy… what a cool thing to see you experience this moment. I found the sword just by chance much earlier in the game than I completed the dragons tears, so while it was INSANE to just stumble upon it (and still crazy hype), seeing you go from the final tear to this discovery was something special! Chills!!!

Sacrificing herself into a dragon to bring you the sword, to save her kingdom and all its people. Watching over you the whole time. Zelda ain't no princess, she a kween. I was also confused by the scene where the sword was restored. When was this supposed to have happened? We restored it in the last game, then it was broken at the beginning of this game, and then Dragon Zelda gave a restored version back to us when we pulled it out of her forehead. Is this the Deku Tree gaslighting us? Does he just HAVE to be the “sword guy”? Is he that petty that he’s trying to convince a dude with memory issues that HE was really the one who fixed that shit?

Basically, before Zelda and Link went to investigate below Hyrule Castle, they let the sword recharge back to full strength in Korok Forest. Just in case.

The physics of the BOTW world means that even the Master Sword eventually gets damaged or is low on energy so they take it to the korok forest to recharge to full strength.
