I have been sitting here thinking they are all just lovely, and then at 9:04 my breath was taken away. That one is a stand out in my books!! And that is including the lilac pots (lilac is my favourite colour)!! I would love to see an accent planting in the egg pot placed under the chin of the dragon. That would be a perfect partnership. Just need to carefully choose trees for both . . .

Bummer about the little cracks, but the pot looks remarkable nonetheless and there are things you can do to mask the cracks or make them look like features. Those subtle color variations on the dragon definitely could be transfers from other pots' glazes discharging gases during the firing. You had them packed pretty tight, so it would have been easy for a bit of fiery mist to blow a little of those glaze materials over to the outside of the dragon. We jokingly call that "sneezing". On porcelain, that can ruin a pot, but on darker clay, it can add character. The little glazed pots all looked quite nice. You batted 1.000 on those. Most kiln openings have at least a couple of disappointments, but not this one.

I've been away for while and I got lots of videos to catch up from you. I remember watching you in the making of this dragon pot, and it turned out fantastic. The sound sounds like A-grade quality. Sorry to hear it has few surface cracks on the interior. I wouldn't recommend it being a outdoor winter pot. Once again you inspire some much needed creative side of my life.

What a relief that the dragon survived the firing. You put so much effort into making it that it would have been a disaster if it had come out of the kiln damaged. It is hard to imagine you ever making a pot that would be as elaborate as the dragon. But who knows, maybe you have plans for a new one already... The spotted mini pot is perhaps my personal favorite of all of these. I may have stressed too much over the dragon, so it is easier to like the spotted little thing.🤔🙂
