What an amazing tribute to Zoey, that got me right in the feels.

Cheers, I though it fitting and something she'd have loved. The only other thing would be making the horn actually Honk.

Ade’s expressions as you’re speaking Chris explain it all.

Zoey would've loved to have been the arse-end of something. Great tribute guys.

Not wrong! I just hope the exhaust won't honk when we start it up.

great update guys, that check list is a bit like santas, making a list, And checking it twice remember the fans ideally need battery voltage to the rad thermo switch, so if hot can continue to cool with engine off
@ChrisDRimmer10 ай бұрын
Those fans are just for the first intercooler so they can safely turn off with the engine. I don’t know how the little electric aux water pump works on these so idk if running the big fans on the rad at the front is useful with the engine off, but if it is we will!
@PedalBox9 ай бұрын
As Chris say, the main fans are on the stat, so no issues there, if we need to cool the boost while the engines off, we've done something wrong. Or right maybe? I dunno if that'd be a good or bad thing to be making boost with no exhaust. It's be magic though!

Great to see the progress! Happy new year to you both! Will this be the year for it to hit the road?
@ChrisDRimmer10 ай бұрын
I hope so, but I doubt it! I said last summer that by this summer we might be driving it to shows, but my life is rapidly getting more complicated and getting in the way of me making lots of time to work on the car with Ade, so we might slow down, which will suck given where we are on this awkward last leg.

@@ChrisDRimmer I know the feeling! My project car has sat in my garage for far too long now, life getting in the way! saying that...Been a while since I have seen you guys go live..

Thanks! Happy new year to you (now it's nearly Feb...) I wanted it in for the IVA over winter, but the weather was un sympathetic to my desires and there was a lot of stuff to do indoors instead, so more hidden progress. The studio was a bit of a dumping ground, but it's finally on the way back to workable so we should be lave again soon enough :)

11:36 My understanding is that the reverse lamps are predominantly for seeing where you are reversing to.
@ChrisDRimmer10 ай бұрын
I think that’s what they’re supposed to do yeah. Most I’ve driven with don’t, but that might be because most cars I’ve driven have been decades old with fucked reflectors :D
@PedalBox9 ай бұрын
Assuming you have a rear window. Or good visibility in the mirrors. It's weird that this was a kind of wild realisation when talking to my Driving Instructor many years ago about reversing in the dark. Dunno why it seems like such an epiphany then, seems obvious, and yet not (maybe)
@19mati6710 ай бұрын
Those sharp diffusers are IVA compliant? You guys are planning something behind the rear wheels? They look quite exposed.
@ChrisDRimmer10 ай бұрын
I don’t think there’s anything explicitly banning what we have there. The wheel arch does go as far back as it needs to - we’re basically using the same allowances as exist for opening wheel cars like the Atom, which just have mudguards partway down the back. Sharp edges on the aluminium might be a pain tho. Worst case, we roll them all over!
@PedalBox9 ай бұрын
It's a concern, but one that will likely be fixed with rubber edging (in the short term) and try and sort something better with rolling them later so we can get through the IVA, and remain legit afterwards without looking like a meat slicer
