The FINAL Lynx Air 737 MAX 8 departure from Montreal (YUL/CYUL)

It is always hard to say goodbye.. These are the types of videos I don't like making but given this is my last time ever seeing Lynx I felt that they deserved a tribute. I even decided to showcase some of my favourite Lynx shots that I have gotten across the country:

Lynx Air is a Canadian low cost carrier which started as New air & tours in 2006, then they rebranded as enerjet in 2008. As enerjet, the airline focused primarily on oil charter flights but the idea of providing
Canadians with low cost flights was always on the agenda.
In 2021, they rebranded again as Lynx air but this time bringing the Low cost model into reality. The airline started off initially on domestic flights with a fleet of 9 737 MAX 8 aircraft and slowly expanded into the U.S. The airline has been serving Montreal since June 2023.
Unfortunately, on February 22nd Lynx Air announced they will be suspending operations midnight of the 25th citing compounding financial pressures caused by increasing operational costs.
Canadian aviation market has always been a difficult market and sadly Lynx Air joins the many other failed Canadian airlines....
I wish the best for all their hard working and dedicated employees!

Sad that they're going under, but it just shows what happens if you take on Air Canada on their prime routes. Canada needs more airlines, but no more Air Canadas.

I never got to fly Lynx. I have flown Porter and Flair and worry about losing them. WestJet and especially AC are horrible.
