This project is valuable to viewers now, and will be to viewers in the future, as well. As a moment in time, it could be worthwhile to ask a set of big questions to newly minted anthropologists, too; as well interviewing mid-career or mid-life colleagues, likewise. Each location on the trajectory of career and lifetime offers insights worth collecting and sharing.

Wonderful title and surprising (to me as an anthropologist who studies aging) that so many of these senior anthropologists have gained so little personal insight from the close intimate encounters with the other. As an anthropologist, I have been lucky enough to have been invited into the lives of strangers and these relationships go on beyond the confines of study. I don't think I could or should write and teach about these people without being honest about how they affected me. It strikes me that many of the interviewees keep their observations and participation (except as a "beloved other") separate when it comes to age and death. It seems the universality of aging and death (in a fundamental sense) would be a way to bridge, rather than separate these worlds. This has given me a lot to reflect on. Thank you.
