But one must not forget that Mussolini already in 1938 installed racist laws similar to the Nuremberg Law in Germany banning Jews from going to University and firing them from their jobs. One famous Italian Jew who fled to the USA in 1939 was Franco Modigliani an economist and Nobel prize winner. Another was Emilio Segre, scientist and also Nobel prize winner who fled to the USA in 1939. Ironically Mussolin's mistress who he later dumped was Margherita Sarfati, a Jewish journalist who encouraged him in his early political life.

when in Venice (Italy) , I actually visited the memorial to the deportation of Venetian and other Italian Jews to their death - it's sad that so many people just walk past this " special" area without even giving it a second glance - either they are in too much of a hurry , or they don't care about Italy's shame ( along with the ghettoisation of Jews in Venice )

Why are you shaking your head? It's important to understand the nuance between different Fascist regimes, especially since Nazi Germany wasn't technically 'Fascist', but 'National Socialist' (even if we describe it as a form of Fascism). If you're not interested in learning the historical nuances and how the course of events followed, then why did you watch the video?
