My Parents did a mash up of their names to make me and my siblings names. My older brother continued the trend with his kids too. It’s always fun to try and come up with names that is a mixture of you and your spouse. Like a form of what your unity created. Thanks for sharing!

I do need to add Jenn that once the water breaks the baby is more open for infection. Because now everything is “open” doing most of the labor at home is very smart. But also, if the hospital is far from you, please be aware of time, traffic and how you are feeling. I live in NYC and traffic is insane. I went into labor at night which was good because no traffic but, it was a very long trip 30 mins no traffic with contractions every 2-3 mins. Just be aware of everything. Everything will be amazing!

Hey Jenn~ I have a 3 year old and i just remembered when watching your wipes haul.. I always recommend using water wipes during the first couple of months because they can develop rashes easily. Those are 99.9% water and its the most gentle wipes you can find in the market. They don’t sell it at costco but they do sell them on amazon and target!

Mom of a toddler here - I second the water wipes suggestion! Also just letting the baby have time out of the diaper just chillin naked helps prevent rashes so much! But yeah omg they pee and poop SO much at the beginning. That doesn't last forever even though it feels that way. Also - Desitin & Boudreaux's for the win. If the cream doesn't have Zinc Oxide get outta here!

Yes, those are the best water wipes, but just to let you know that box will probably last you a month or less! Lots of poop and pee diapers. Enjoy every minute of infant phase, they are so precious!

We cloth diaper part time and using reusable wipes is great. Just wet it with water and you’re good to go!

You are such an inspiration, Jenn. You continue your self-care routines throughout your whole pregnancy whilst glowing, smiling, and projecting positivity to the community. Quite random, but those Depends underwear are a great option for postpartum recovery. My doula highly recommended it. They’re more comfortable than the mesh panties you’ll get at the hospital, you don’t need to add a pad in them, and if you stick it in the freezer, it acts like an ice pack for the perineal, which feels so soothing and helps with perineal pains from any tears. I recommend it. 😁💜 Luv you!

My mom had my eight siblings and me at home, and everything went really easily (obv not everyone's experience ik). One thing she tells future moms is to keep in mind that the people around you can actually stop your labor - her parents being there made it really stressful and her labor completely stopped so it was just a lot of pain for two days. when her parents left, the baby came in just a few hours. The next baby, mom told her parents not to come and everything was so much easier. It's your body, your baby, your birth, your decision, don't be afraid to kick people out who are making you stressed, upset, angry, worried, etc.

Try to keep the little guy in as long as you can. The longer he is in the easier it will be to take care of him and better for the baby overall. Trust me ( mother of 3 here) 😜 p.s. don’t wait too long to go to the hospital. All my kids came fast. First child 4 hr labor and it just got faster and faster after that. My third child, the doctor was scared I’ll deliver in the car if I don’t get to the hospital earlier. Lol

You may want to look at getting some more of those wipes. Newborns can go through 10ish diapers a day. And baby wipes do multi-duty as convenient wipes for spill and burbles. And cloth diapers are great burp rags.

My mom is a labor and delivery nurse. Before I took my baby home, my parents brought the baby blanket that my son was wrapped around in and brought it home and had the dogs smell it to recognize the baby's smell. You may want to try it. But overall I am so happy and excited for the baby's arrival! Enjoy every moment with him!

In the first few months we loved pampers aqua pure wipes. First few weeks we used the water wipes but loved the pampers aqua pure ones a tiny bit better. Both of those were much gentler on baby's bum with minimal ingredients. Then as baby got older and their dirty diapers were changing, we switched between costco's kirkland brand, hello bello, and honest wipes. Another tip that was passed to us after our little one had a diaper rash. After a dirty diaper (#2), we wipe baby down then give baby a quick rinse with just water and dry baby off. Never had a diaper rash ever again and never had to purchase diaper rash cream. Also don't buy diapers in bulk yet... every child is so different so you'll have to find the one that is fitting for baby with no leaks, etc. Then once you find the right diapers its ok to stock up. You'll see babies go through diapers and wipes like nothing! So happy seeing you at this stage about to enter parenthood :)

The shrimp wonton is a staple in my home for quick an easy lunch. I always had two BIG handfuls of spinach prior to microwaving for extra greens and a couple spoonfuls of the Trader Joe’s chili onion crunch Oil !!!

I just happen to buy my dog Openfarm dog food as well!! I have an akita (Japanese Hachi) and he loved it! And I felt GOOD because Jenn uses this as well!

Jenn, I love you SO much and have loved watching you and Ben go through the pregnancy journey together. BUT, if your water breaks, PLEASE go to the hospital as soon as you can. Waiting at home to labor until the last minute can increase your (and baby's) risk for infection if your water has broken. I send this out of love as an RN
