She was seriously standing there, a grown ass woman who spent the past ten years training to protect and save people, telling me that she never bothered to learn how to swim? Did she never see herself getting into a situation that would require being able to swim, either to save herself, a victim, or a culprit?

The finale was so easy but I honestly still loved it. The stakes were high and the cooperation between Sissel, Missile, and Yomiel was awesome to see!

I also love how despite the cooperation, you don't get to actually control Yomiel. Shows you how while he does get a redemption, he's still not the same as Sissel and Missile, and it also makes the sacrifice of his body getting crushed a decision 100% on him, and not the player. It's a neat detail imo.

Listening to both soundtracks for the first time and "back-to-back" really shows how blinded by nostalgia fans are. This track in particular has so much more oomph than the original, the new high-pitched synth part really escalates the sense of urgency and evokes that "gotta think fast" feeling without drowning out the main melody. It's the literal opposite from Cabanela's theme arrangement (which was criticized for sounding more subdued and I agree), yet people STILL stretch for reasons to find the original better.

The drums and bass in this version are definitely better but the lead here doesn't hit as hard. I also think the strings, my favorite part from the original, are drowned out here in a way they aren't in the DS version.

The arranged version has a more "hopeful" feeling, like they know they are near death, but also see a glimmer of hope and are latching onto it.

@@LoreGoshito be fair it makes it feel less “desperate” or “final” because of that. Feels less like a struggle. The og was just way more effective when creating atmosphere. The bass being more powerful and prominent is the reason why it is more effective.

I had many blunders, but my doofiest was failing the submarine part cause I forgot how to get Sissel up to the steam area. I just panicked and clicked stuff while Lynne and Kamila drowned.

The Final Struggle is such a downgraded title from The Last Desperate Struggle. This arranged theme and title doesn’t have any sense of “finality” or “struggle”, and it lacks in the “desperation” present in the original theme and scene. The new title and arranged theme just doesn’t suit the atmosphere and also lacks in the prominent bass lines. This title lacks in finality unlike the original title.
