This shows that not only Michael is truly evil but also has a sense of thought into what he is doing, other than just killing. He knew that was going to break Loomis even further.

Yes, micheal is indescribably evil. There is not any redemption for him and there might not even be forgiveness. He is evil itself on two feet and that's how he stays alive and how he is super strong. He has the persistence to kill and cause harm he doesn't care for anyone. Only reason he came for Laurie is because sartain brought him back to her. That re ignited his memory of her. Micheal just sat in prison for 4 decades because he was as patient as ever he has time on his hands.

Dr Loomis was the heart and soul of these movies at the start. It's sad he went this way, though. He deserved better than Michael torturing someone right in front of him. I'd love you to do more videos like this.

Yes he was! Both my husband and I both remember being kids, strangers/unknown to one another, in different states, having never met- and both pretended to roleplay and re-enact scenes from these/those movies as children with our friends and both demanding we were Dr. Loomis!

Loomis deserved more than the ways he did go out but sadly that was all because of Donald's passing - Theatrical or Producer's cut of H6 it's so bittersweet each way because that was his last portrayal of the character and then in the Blumhouse trilogy he is just a back burner character who didn't live an eventful life as we seen him in the previous movies- Definitively (IMHO) The last moments between Michael and Loomis will always be in Haddonfield Memorial with Loomis stabbed, Michael shot in the eyes and in an attempt to end Michael once and for all, Loomis sacrifices himself to take down a monster with him- THAT for me is a better fit ending for a character and not with what we got.

@David Walker Everybody has a different take on it but to me Halloween started off as a movie..it wasn't a comic 1st..a paperback; whatever..in other words if these sequences weren't in the film then they never happened..I chalk them up to fan-fiction and exploitations to beat dead a dead horse and squeeze as much juice /revenue from Halloween name as possible..yeah, anyway none of this stuff matters to me...not cannon or anything.. (Not Nick or the civil war artillery).. reminds me of the Sam and Dean Winchester novels featured on Supernatural television show..or our government or media..bunch of made up bullshit.

I agree. Dr. Loomis wasn't referenced enough. Ends I thought failed what Kills set up. Ends had the potential to be epic, too. Although not a bad movie, just failed to deliver the final punch. If this were a book, Ends would've been a chapter in rhe middle of the book, not the finale.

Funny story, I didn't know that H20 was a 'soft-reboot'/alternate timeline, so I originally thought that movie 6 led directly into H20 and that Loomis' death was covered up by the Thorne Cult before Michael finished what remained of them (because of "not wanting to be controlled" and all). After finishing the movie and talking to a friend about how it didn't even mention Jamie or any of the events of the last three movies, I found out that it was a reboot.

I know it's a cliche look for older men (bald head and gray beard), but does anyone else think that maybe Michael's facial features in the blumhouse films (bald head and grayish beard) could've been a means of mocking Loomis? I know it's a long shot but still.

Michael definitely did wear on Loomis health. That long time exposure to pure evil weared on him and drove him to act more and more erratic during his venture trying to stop him til finally he was ready to do anything in five which was the breaking straw on his health. He was able to survive one more movie but the poor man tried his best to do the impossible. Trying to stop evil much less kill it is impossible for anyone to do. Even in ends Laurie thinks she's won but watch she's going to happy for a bit til she sees someone and get that sense and seeing those eyes. Michaels eyes in someone else. That breathing. Evil lives again lol. It'll never end lol. It is sad it has to end like this for loomis. It'll probably be the same for Laurie too. Shell see the shape too standing above her on her death bed. He'll always be there. Watching and breathing. Say something dam it! Never lol.

Fantastic video. Very well put-together. I’ve read all the Halloween comics and short stories and while I mostly enjoy them, I don’t like the parts that depict Myers as being overly sadistic, like with Loomis’s girlfriend. That’s never been his MO. He likes to stalk, kill, and display his victims’ bodies in creative ways. He’s never been the type of killer who enjoys physically torturing his victims like this. Writing him that way is too extreme IMO.
@andrewthompson5748
@andrewthompson5748 Жыл бұрын
While I don’t disagree with you, I do believe that the brutal/sadist approach to his character isn’t bad. It’s not the best, but I think more than anything it gets at the fact that Michael is pure evil. Evil would take pleasure from suffering, and that’s exactly what is being inflicted here, both physical on Loomis’ gf and mental on Loomis himself. I think it could’ve been done better, but I don’t think it’s bad either tbh

So far, there are technically 4 deaths of Sam Loomis. The first is from the Theatrical Cut of The Curse of Michael Myers (aka the original timeline), where he's presumably killed by Michael (off-screen). The second is in the H20 timeline, which originally was him dying from poor health and old age (off-screen). The third is where the technicality comes in, because comics and novelizations are often debated about their continuity to films or shows but is set in the H20 timeline where Loomis dies from a heart attack of seeing his former girlfriend being murdered by Michael. And the 4th is in the 2018 film timeline, where he simply dies of old age (off-screen).

To the contrary i think it makes perfect sense given the context. The scary thing about Michael is that he's aware of the emotional damage he's doing to people, I think that's why he likes to pose his victims in twisted, morbidly funny ways. I could definitely see him kidnapping someone just to execute them in front of Loomis

Hate all you want just because you didn't think the masks looked scary or sexy enough but Michael Myers was at his most unstoppable and strongest in Halloween II, 4, 5 and 6. Even in H20 and Resurrection. I like to believe it's the same timeline and originally was supposed to be which is why Laurie Strode was under a different name, faked her death living out in California to explain her absence in 4, 5 and 6. But they left those small details out in H20. Kept the bloody scissors in the crime photos intro which were only used in Halloween 4 and 5... The best Halloween movies were with Donald Pleasence the real Dr. Loomis. The second most important character in the franchise. I think Jamie Lee Curtis made the movies all about her. Now Michael Myers is chasing just one person like Tom and Jerry for 40 years then she kills him.👎

One suggestion, if you don't mind: I don't know if you were eating or just had dry mouth, but this would've been much more enjoyable without the noise. haha. Nah, I hate this. Loomis should never be depicted at Michael's mercy like that, so I'm glad it never saw the movie cut. If anything, perhaps Loomis's end could have come similar to the end of Halloween 5; beating Michael, falling on him. But instead of suffering a stroke, he dies fighting even despite the limitations of his age ridden body, taking down his nemesis one last time. Though of course it would not be permanent. Now that would be the perfect ending for Loomis.
