Ohhh I finally get it! Ymir was a slave of her love for Fritz and she didn't know how to get out of it. Mikasa showed her - it's killing your painful love. Very hard to do for both of them, because it's against their nature, but Mikasa did it! When Ymir saw it, she killed imaginary Fritz and finally got her freedom. Then she erased the Power of the Titans, not by someone's orders but by HER OWN FREE WILL. It was Ymir, not Eren nor his death, as I thought before 🤦

my only issue with this is that Ymir made a choice of her own free will in chapter 122 when she chose to obey Eren instead of Zeke. So to basically retcon that into her still just being a simp never made sense. Also you're telling me that Mikasa was the first person in 2,000 years to turn their backs on a toxic love and do the right thing?

@@Doomfoolable Ymir was trapped in the Paths dimension for 2000 years, making titans. She never came out of that realm. So no one could have taught her before how to free herself from King Fritz. When Eren went in there and freed her, his righteous anger at her circumstances ignited her fury at the treatment she suffered, which is why she took control and wanted to burn the world down. Mikasa showed her, now that she was free of the Paths, how to actually go and rest in peace because Mikasa did what Ymir hadn't been able to do: kill the person she loved. The world without King Fritz could have been a better place if Ymir hadn't sacrificed her own life, she would have been free, that was why they showed the panel of Ymir kneeling in front of her daughters with Fritz dead in the background. And the titan powers would not have continued because her daughters would not have been forced to consume their mother's corpse.

Here is my speculation about the little boy in the end, if you remember Ymir was running away from eldians trying to kill her and fell in the tree and made contact with the lifeform, BUT Ymir wanted power, a strong body to protect herself and that lifeform gave her exactly that ... but then the boy in the end was just discovering peacefully with his dog (Ymir was chased by dogs) so what I think is even if he made contact with the lifeform it will never be the same outcome ... so I guess it's a happier ending than the cycle before.

Well, as time passes, Mikasa grows old and visits his grave one more time to put the last flower on Eren’s grave and then passes away of old age buried with her lover’s scarf next to his grave. And as more time passes we could see the tree growing even bigger over the years and the cycle of war starts once more. As decades in the future, cities are brought to ruin and yet the only thing that remains is EREN’S FINAL RESTING PLACE. The final scene were a girl reaches the giant tree represents going back to the “starting point” because this is how everything started. There wouldn’t be any creature because you can see the creature dead when Eren died, it’s a representation of the starting point because it was where everything started in the story. This is EXACTLY what Eren said would happen is that war never changes and that no matter what no matter how much time or how ever big the disaster may be, humanity’s need of war and conflict will always drive them back to the line of war with hatred Attack on Titan story is the TRUE representation of the human cycle, of how humans create conflict, resolve them, forget about them, and eventually starting it all over again the only difference is how wars are waged, at one time it was a titan empire, another was an oppressive country seeking control of the world with titan powers. EREN COULD NEVER STOP THE CONFLICT, BUT HE COULD GUARANTEE THAT HIS FRIENDS DIED IN A TIME OF PEACE AND HE SUCCEEDED IT WAS NOT FOR NOTHING. The very goal he wanted to achieve from the beginning was to eliminate all of the titans, and it could happen and happened. Attack on titan is a story about the struggle of human conflict and the stories of these people within it, and about how war has and will never change, and that no matter what conflict will ALWAYS be created. ATTACK ON TITAN IS A REPRESENTATION OF THE HUMAN CONDITIONS.

@@thejfcad9020 I can believe that Eren did that and told Jean to make her happy, but I don’t think Mikasa would approve. They showed a woman and a man with a kid and there are many possibilities for that, maybe it’s Jean with his kid but not with Mikasa, maybe it’s Falco and his kid, and many other possibilities and non of them is confirmed. In my personal opinion , I think if they made Mikasa marry Jean or any other man it’s against her character the whole anime PLUS there are many other hints in the end that indicates that she’s not the type to forget and get married

The Linked Horizon Song, "To You In 2,000...Or 20,000 Years From Now" kinda hints at the amount of time that passed between the end of the Rumbling to what we see at the end with the tree. Isayama said that it could be any amount of time. But it was enough time to let his friends live full lives.

21:26 he is angry. No he is not... Levi was shocked that Zeke was calling for him to come to end him. Zeke was fighting on their side at that moment and Levi was shocked that his sworn enemy and the man he hated the most accepted his fate and is offering himself to end the rumbling. For once, they were fighting for the same side.

The cabin scene is one of the timelines where Miskasa confesses her feeling for Eren and they eventually run away from the conflict. Her confessing made Eren stop his plan of the rumbling and Miskasa knew if she confessed her feelings for Eren he would only have 4 years left with him knowing that Miskasa didn't want to confess her feelings and let Eren continue his plan with the rumbling knowing she will lose the person she loved the most.

Guys, apperently, i think It was said in this episode; The halluciginia gave ymir the Power of creation and she created the titans and paths to protect herself but she couldn't free herself. In The End the tree grew again, and we assume the halluciginia Is there. Since ymir Is free now the titans don't exist anymore but that kid at the end May create a new things since they don't Need titans.

How I like to view the tree is its definitely history repeating however when yimir finds the tree she is hurt and injured and a titan is formed beacuse of yimir wanting a bigger body to protect herself and the curse is beacuse of how long yimir lived and etc... But the kid with the dog dosent look injured and isn't running from anything and maybe the titans can lead to something different this time around

Jesus, finishing this anime absolutely messed me up. I don't know how to explain how such a turn of events from the third season to the fourth just broke me. But I'm glad the majority of my favorite characters survived. It was such a heart breaking and warming ending, even thinking about the last episode makes me tear up 😢. Overall, a splendid anime that crushed and rebuilt my heart. Here's a message to all of the Attack On Titan fans out there... Don't let this anime die. ❤
