oh my gosh this needs more attention!! although it is mildly funny that like a third of the main conflicts in this video were basically caused by Grian but what can you do lakdsjfdsf there were so many funny adaptations, ended up going on .5x speed to catch the scooby doo frame lmao but yeah so many awesome storylines and references in one animatic!! so freaking cool, awesome characters, just ahh here are my favourite moments cause i have nothing better to do :) 1:07 📉 1:16 this screenshot just sums up every successful shop 1:27 I WAS WAITING FOR HIM TO GO DOWN AND THEN HE JUST DIDN'T AND ITS SO FUNNY- 1:38 i'm cackling 2:10 of course he appears out of nowhere just to fall down the boatem hole- 2:27 the syncing here is so goood and linking Moo Pop with those lines in the song is so freaking clever omg 2:44 Ren's face here is actually just- perfection 3:05 Grian really did monetise death lmao 4:19 literally just anyone that is friends with Grian- you will be in the next war- you have no choice-

Oooooh love all the references - it integrates so many elements (like the businesses and factions and minigames and wars) throughout the seasons! I know I must be missing some stuff because I’ve only watched S5-7 and a bit of S8 - but seeing the NHO and Mayor Scar (1:30 - Boomers to HEP/MR :0) and the Boatem hole and demise and G-Team/Team STAR (also 2:54 - scooby doo???) and the vex and (3:52) is this all the people who joined each season? (Pearl and Gem joined S8, Grian in S6, I think S4 was the kingdomcraft merge and I’m pretty sure Mumbo joined S2…. If so that so cool!!!) and so much more all in one video just makes me really happy

I've seen this so many times but this time I just loved it even more than normal with all the references and stuff I missed previously. I’ve been in awe of your drawing skills and your skill in animation. The way you convey emotion with your characters in tune and beat with music is nothing short of magical. What advice would you give a beginner in drawing and in animation? What would you say would be the first step in that learning process?

Thank you so much! Well, I'm not the best at advice bit I'll try my best! What I would suggest for beginning is drawing by reference as much as you draw from your head. Its important, I think, in drawing characters to make sure you dont solely draw figures and real people, but being able to recognize how different muscle and joints work will help a lot! And dont be afraid to be a bit more cartoony. Making extreme faces can help convey emotion tons even if it does break a few rules. TL;DR- look at references but dont let that control how you draw. IDK if this will help, but I'm so glad you want to draw! (Also dont be afriad to "heavy referencing" aka trancing as long as you dont post it or claim it as your own. Being able to draw over the muscle structure can help your hand recognize the shapes lol)
