Thanks for watching! Any other recommendations for plants\trees you think we should plant in our top area? Let us know below 😄

Not a native but if you want a big tree you can use as a wind break that can grow into each other like a wall and very fast growing. Cryptomera Japonica. We planted ours 2yrs ago and they at a height of about 3m now. They were 800mm when planted. Cost $26 each when we brought ours from Waiere Nursery Hamilton.

Your projects are inspiring. We've been slowly chipping away on projects on our lifestyle block including the kids playground area. I'm looking forward to seeing how the flying fox goes.

Yeh it should be fun that flying fox, I’ve got to order so rather large poles and dig some rather large holes haha 🫣

It is all coming together and will look awesome in time.

Yeh should look good in a few years! It’s nice to actually be planting trees instead of chopping them up haha!

Looking so good, guys. Genius idea to use the radios and design it from your favourite viewpoint. To do it any other way, now that you've had that brainwave, would be illogical. You're right about the lifestyle block being a gym. I threw a pine tree over a high fence yesterday (after a lot of chainsawing in the paddock next door, where it fell). I'll be doing a lot of work with my chipper tomorrow - and then I'd like to borrow your log splitter...

Haha yeh pop around and grab it 😅 I had a good session on the chainsaw yesterday too and that thing is a good back and shoulder workout! It works well seeing I sit in an office all day haha

@@AdventuresWithRosy Niiice. And yeah... Anytime you want to borrow the chipper, you're most welcome.

Hopefully! A fair few trees to go in still but it’s certainly looking nicer from the lounge window 😁

With bees, start harvesting Manuka honey. I pay $15-$18 for just 8 ounces of it! It is really expensive here.

Yeh it’s pretty expensive here too in New Zealand and we make loads of it in this country lol. Definitely going to put lots of Manuka around the place for the bees 😁

Tough job Chelsea, and a great idea for visual placing and keeping Bronson busy. Should make for a nice area in a couple of years. I think you've made some good species choices. Won't be long and you'll have Akeake seedlings popping up everywhere.
@AdventuresWithRosy7 ай бұрын
Oh does it pop up all over the place does it? I saw the other day there was a slightly darker leave Akeake which looks pretty nice, might put a few others in around the place 👍
