The Rosenbauer Panther can discharge 14,000 litres of extinguishing fluid in just 90 seconds, making it the ultimate weapon against fires. That is why it is the vehicle of choice for the fire fighting team at Atlanta International Airport - the world’s busiest airport. See it in action, and learn more about how it works, including its Volvo Penta D16 700 hp engine.

Why would they need to get out of the truck? The water is on board so no need to connect pipes, the hoses are too powerfull to be handled by people, they are more protected in the truck, they dont have time to do anything else, they are in open field, so they can park anywhere they want. They dont need to bring hoses around corners or in buildings.

There are 3 different kinds of Rosenbauer fire trucks,(6x6, 4x4, and 8x8). The 6x6 panther has water jets around the wheel wells. Where it can shoot streams of water around. It's one badass truck. Would be cool but impractical. It’s almost impossible to put out full fledged forest fires. Instead they control the fire by dumping retardant onto sensitive areas and creating fire lines to prevent the fire from spreading. If this truck can dump it’s entire reservoir in less than 2m then it’s useless.
