Hey sam, the black jag was the 2004 fuore blackjag project. Fuore was a company wich made the concept car and pitched it to jaguar. They didn't want it , so fuore decided to produce one for themselves. There is only one rolling car , wich is for sale at 2.8M € , u truly one of a kind , with 0 miles! Regarding that V10 Jag, here's the info on it: Fuore Design BlackJag - 2004 At its local Barcelona Motor Show in 2003, a then-unknown transport design company Fuore Design International launched itself into a stunned world by exhibiting its inaugural prototype, a Jaguar-based mid-engined supercar called the XF10. The XF10 mock-up looked impressive, but little more was heard of Fuore Design. Fast forward to the following year and this new Spanish design company’s surprise appearance at the more prestigious and high-profile 2004 Geneva Salon came as a shock, albeit a pleasant one. Fuore Design presented its striking BlackJag concept car, a development of the Jaguar-based XF10 prototype revealed one year earlier in Barcelona. Now shown as a functional prototype, Fuore Design said that its BlackJag was ‘an exhilarating design study that fuses the spirit of Formula One with the values of the traditional British Jaguar brand.’ It continued ‘While the XF10 was an expression of sheer sportiness and pure power, the BlackJag now presents itself in refined and sophisticated apparel.’ The imaginatively-named BlackJag (it was black, and based on a Jaguar!) was evolved by the Barcelona studio to reflect the elegance and sovereignty of the legendary two-seater cars from Coventry, intended to embrace design elements such as style and poise to maintain Jaguar’s sporting image. Compared to the XF10, the BlackJag´s body was generally simplified, with design changes made to the air intakes which ran more smoothly into the body for an improved sculptural flow. The concept’s front end benefitted from a new, simplified bumper and headlamps flanking a more traditional Jaguar-esque chrome grille. The BlackJag was conceived to use a centrally-placed 10-cylinder, 7.0-litre DOHC engine (of unknown origins), claimed to develop 640PS with a potential 210mph top speed. After its pair of Jaguar-derived concept cars, Fuore Design returned to Geneva again in 2005, showing a Subaru-powered supercar with styling akin to the BlackJag, but nothing more has since been heard of this independent Barcelona design studio, after some strong initial promise.

I first fell in love with the 911 around fifty years ago as I waited for a city bus on a cold winter morning in downtown Minneapolis. A 911 came howling along the snow bordered street, engine and exhaust notes echoing off the skyscrapers. There is something about that unique engine whine coupled with the soft dampening effect of snow. The footage toward the end of this video very much reminded me of that initial experience (later followed by many years forming my own 911 story). Yours is a classic beauty, sure to become even more classic as our motoring world changes in the near future. That Porsche Motorsports engine is a treasure.

I like how things have progressed. To change speedo MPH to KPH it's into a menu, scroll, select and so on. My 1983 Maestro VDP launch press car with digital dash had one button to do this!! I'm obviously not comparing the 2 cars, just a simpler way of life back then. Expecting stupid reply comments....

Nice video Sam. I’m pretty certain the dipped beam switches over automatically based on your GPS position, the car detects which country you’re in and adjusts accordingly. I did a recent trip to Germany and back in my 992 GTS and the car seemed to adjust the lights automatically. We stayed in Motorworld Stuttgart 😊👍🏼

Hey Sam! So glad you’ve got a gt3. I hopefully collect my used winged GT3 on Tuesday….. in the dreaded Shark blue! Which I absolutely fricking adore. Spec is Clubsport with buckets, lift, chrono, satin black wheels, basic pdsl, few other bits and bats and it’s my absolute dream…. My mum passed 18 months ago, and this is my inheritance from her. And it’s absolutely what she would have wanted! If you’re ever in Marbella again, let’s grab a good coffee I know some great spots!

If you're interested, "winter wheels" are "a thing". I wanted (here in Germany) to buy a certain set of wheels and have winter tyres fitted to them. The wheel company said they can't sell them to me with winter tyres because they're not TüV certified for winter use. I said what if I were to buy the wheels without tyres and try and find someone else who would sell and fit winter's to them. They reckoned I wouldn't be successful in Germany. I had to buy winter certified wheels.

So, the Jaguar you were confused by a little: The Jaguar BlackJag was a concept by a company called 'Fuore Design'. Whilst Jaguar were 'under Ford ownership'. They actually made 2 of these funky looking Jags. One of them being the car you see in front of you, The BlackJag. The other, called the XF10. They were both designed to pay homage to the XJ13 Prototype Race Car from the 60's, but in a more modern Jaguar design language, with luxury HyperGT being the focus. Jaguars own little SLR Mclaren if you will. I dont believe they ever had 1000hp, correct me if I'm wrong. I think it was around 650, with a sub 4 second 0-62. What I do know, is they were sold at close to £3,000,000 in todays money!

Smart choice fitting winter tyres to the original wheels. Narrower winter wheels can be a bit of a pain too. I have 245 wide summers and 205 winters and although they can get through any snow they are a bit sketchy in the rain.

Just done a very similar route myself to St Anton skiing in my 992 C4S. Great trip, winter tryres were great. I bought the winter/wheels second-hand from Ebay for 1500 quid! Bargain

People these days are asking too many things from a car then they used to be. The one car to do it all seems to be more of a standard today. I understand your point and agree what you mean. Personally my love for 911 in general faded away starting from 991. The 991.1 GT3 RS was a revolution because it redefined what a production car can do with proper usability. But other than that, you make any modern porsche wider and putting big tires on them, they are quicker than last gen.
