A little light on info on the gangs of Pyro, the revolutionary road through Nyx and the fact that S42 is set 7 years in the past and will probably resolve the OMC's factional control of Odin. Also given some concept art... don't expect Archon to survive the events of S42.

It's not meant as an in depth study, that is what the System Survey is for. This is designed as a light sprinkle to get people interested into the lore aspect.

I still think Terra is part of the five. It's a natural hub with lots (8 I think) of jump points. It gives CIG more flexibility in choosing the next systems after Terra and as a high sec system it will be a good system for those that have no wish to deal with the lawless.

Terra is so old that that work is entirely scrapped though they have recently reviewed the Terra and Mangus Lore, but that is all we know.

@@gamerwolf5fexaka.vishnu203 It was one of the first fully landable and explorable planetary bodies made for the game along with just the moons of Crusader. Then when the moons around Crusader were all updated with planet tech 2, 3, & finally planet tech 4, Delamar was left out as they were planning a full rework when it was added to it’s correct system. It was the last remaining planetary body still using the legacy default Cry engine code, (tier zero planet tech) and was removed as originally planned.

Castra is an interesting choice. But I think 5 is a nice round number and the 5th one would probably be a special one - Terra. One of my friends also said that Castra AND Hadrian would be the last 2, and not Odin.

Unlikely due to the complex nature of Terra, there are at least 3 landing zones they will likely want to make and the system is very complex in terms of traffic. Terra also has little to no updated art work while Castra has multiple. Terra is more than likely a Beta release goal.

Well, the list makes sense, but it sure leaves Stanton land locked. The only way from Stanton to any other of these systems would be Pyro. So the Pyro jump gate will be filled with campers waiting for people to come through.

Hi Paul, great vid as always. You've said in the past you believe S42 is 3yrs away. I agree with your reasoning and I don't think Odin is likely to be in the verse for 6 months to a year after it's release. If we all keep praying for the server priests blessed meshing efforts, Hopefully Pyro comes to us in 6 to 9 months and Nyx maybe a patch or 2 later (Citcon 2023?). By your list, that would mean Castra is the only new system they make for 3 years? I know these things take time and i'm not impatient, I've honestly had more fun watching this game get made than i'm ever likely to have playing it, but that time line sounds too slow to me. I'm sure you are right that Castra is coming but I think we get a few more before Odin, Hadrian and Magnus at least. If things keep accelerating, Montreal style, and all's going really well maybe around the time we get S42 we also get Terra. That would create a nicely interconnected network of systems with a long line of large gates for the haulers. Wouldn't that be fun? Do you all think this is way too optimistic???

Honestly I think S42 is within 18 months of being done after seeing all chapters complete in the progress tracker. they have to be in post production at this point. Qa testing, Ui, polish, bug fixing, preparing a giant pr campaign, etc. We will see though.

As always, great work. Why Odin? There's nothing out there but Kellogg. I'd rather see a Terra-Hadrian development primarily. Second would be a Magnus-Ellis run. much more gameplay in those 2 directions.

I know you said in one of your live streams that Terra was not likely, but maybe you could do a video of why not. It was the setting of the 890 commercial and game development seems to follow the commercials (more or less). Jax McCleary went into the jump gate to Pyro, which is the next system. Anyway, just an idea.

Terra and Earth will both require a lot more work most other systems. As they will almost certainly be among the most populated and most complicated systems in the game, and because we sort of get things as the tech allows, it makes sense that they will not be among the first, and may even be among the last systems made. A guess.

@@AlphonseZukor Arc Corp is no different than the rest of the planets in the game so far, it's mostly a single biome with tier 0 dynamic weather, no animal life, no plant life, no continents, no rivers, oceans or caves (which some other planets do have.) In some senses, ArcCorp isn't all that complicated. It's a ball procedurally covered in buildings with a few locations gone over by designers. Earth and Terra should be a lot more diverse and complicated, and will likely showcase most if not ALL the planet tech. Earth will require even more personal attention from designers than Terra, as it has to be a future version of the Earth we live on, but Terra will also be a challenge I think.

Question? Since we will probably never see all 100 systems - in this lifetime. Where does one 'settle'? 10 system game? 15 system game? Cig is acting like a govt agency - acting in it's own self-interest, aiming for job stability and longevity, rather than getting the damn game out.
