Thanks! I'm following the rollout pretty closely. We now have all of the player cards from the starter decks, and I think at least an abbreviated version of the rules should come out in February. It might be a while before we get the first booster pack cards revealed though. I'm hoping by the release on 4/20 I'll be able to get any English speakers enough up to speed to be able to play a game with most (if not all) of the cards revealed.

Thanks for the video. I watched the whole thing. I preordered two of the central league boosters. I like a handful of teams from that league. I agree with what you said about these cards being super unique that being there really has never been a game made from baseball cards. I definitely think bushiroad knows what they are doing with this set. The first edition sets are always soughed after, might not be a bad investment. Thanks for your support! The financial aspect is an interesting one I haven't considered. While my knowledge of the economics of Bushiroad TCGs and Japanese baseball cards in general is limited, there are a few things I think are worth considering when buying in. (Which should mostly be done for fun. It's difficult to really profit off of flipping TCG cards.) 1. The game will likely only have a shelf life of about 2-3 years, though there's an outside chance it could go only one or 5+. 2. The initial print run will probably be very large, especially for cards featured in both the starter decks and the booster packs. 3. The game pieces will likely have limited gameplay utility after a year, because it's quite likely they will rotate out or be power crept. With that in mind, I think the cards that have a serious case of long term value are the parallels, in particular the Super Special Rare holo parallels. These are some really nice looking cards that feature (presumably facsimile) golden autographs of the players. There's a real chance these will be desired even from collectors from outside the playerbase, particularly if they have enough scarcity and feature top players. Be on the lookout for Parallel Murakami in the Central League boxes and Sasaki in the Pacific league boxes because these guys are still really young and could end up becoming stars at the MLB level. as a bushiroad card game player (weiss schwarz) and a baseball fan I'm incredibly excited about this. preordered some starter decks and a couple booster boxes. it's awesome that we are finally getting a baseball TCG that isn't just a dice roll/war style game. bushiroad is a proven company when it comes to TCG even though they have had a litany of projects fail (that's just the nature of this business). lack of hard signed autos is a bummer but stamp signs are the norm in Japan when it comes to cardboard collectibles. if they can secure a license for WBC players/teams this would send the game to another stratosphere

Yeah, I agree with you on basically everything. it's looking like it will be the best baseball TCG system to date. It's not going to be as statistically accurate as some of the dice games out there, but the potential strategic depth provided by the deck/hand looks to be unmatched. My main concern is the design space here could be a bit limited from what we've seen in the starter decks (huge number of vanilla cards even for a beginner product). I guess I'll have to wait until the more powerful & complex booster box cards are revealed to see if that ends up being true.

I cover a little bit more of the rules in my newer video, but a full 3 inning game with explanations for the rules is definitely more of a “when” and “how” than an “if” at the moment.
