Followed by Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Those games were my gateway to the Command & Conquer universe and I am grateful to have played them.

Guess I’m a dinosaur. My mom, who herself was in the military, always loved milsims. She introduced me to CNC Dawn in the late 90s and we haven’t gone back. I have played every title except Rivals. My first experience with CNC was the N64 cartridge I had borrowed as a child. After I begged my parents to get me a copy of the game, we couldn't find it anywhere near us, but then we found Tiberian Sun at a yard sale a few weeks later. Tiberian Sun still has one of the best atmospheres of any of the CNC games.

I played the first CnC on a demo disc ages and ages ago as a kid, and distinctly remember thinking it was the ONLY good game present on that disc. RA2 is technically the first "proper" CnC game I played in entirety and fell in love with, though, so it doesn't count!

First C&C I played was the original from a demo disk way back in the day. It was RA1 that got me hooked due to modding and burying Stalin alive in the rubble of the Kremlin was just icing on the cake. The mods were awesome including the animu ones where someone created a mod based around a popular at the time show called nuku nuku. Sometimes I wish I could still find those old mods but I doubt many of them survived the sterilization of the internet. Thanks for making me feeling my age.

Hell yeah! I'm a damn dinosaur!! I still remember how I got into C&C and gaming as a whole. My dad bought the PC Gaming magazine with a demo for C&C. It was the first four missions for Nod and the whole campaign for GDI. I played it for hours! Then when we went to visit his family in California, his cousin had RA2 and I played it the whole time we were there. RA is still my favorite timeline, as it is what got me into history and loving WWII Era.

Played the first red alert when I was 7yo, family used to own a computer business and someone had installed it on one of the PCs. Couldn't understand wtf was going on, but it's exhilarating that it gave you complete control over everything unlike any other game I've played before. Then played RA2, Tiberian Sun/Dawn, Firestorm, when I was 10-12yo, then during high school had LAN parties for Renegade, C&C Generals ZH, RA3, C&C3.

Where's OpenRA on this list?" - Linux Zoomer (yes, my first experience with C&C was casually browsing the "Games" section of the Linux Mint software repo program and seeing "OpenRA", being reminded of the Playstation 3 release for Red Alert 3 which my Dad played the demo of. I downloaded it, started a skirmish against one AI, and spent like 7 minutes building up a basic base with low power and one harvester providing all of the income. I couldn't even figure out how to start building tanks before the computer AI rushed in through the fog of war and laid waste to my base. I put down the game and didn't touch it until like 3 years later LOL)

The first CnC i played was red alert 2 in a random internet cafe room in a hotel I was stayin while on vacation with my parents. I don't even remember where I was on vacation. I think it was rainy, we couldn't go out, the hotel had an internet cafe and my mom bought me an hour to pass some time rather than just stay in the room and watch tv. I've actually not played since then but a while later my friends downloaded Generals and gave it to me to play it multiplayer. I loved the game, still do. We still play a few games once every few years when we remember it.

Yuri's revenge and aoe2 was my introduction to the rts genre. And then the ultimate collection came out with Tiberium Wars and RA3 on steam. Need to finish working through those.
