Come join us as we do our final land clearing. And plant the first crops in this new Alaska agricultural development. It's always exciting to be planting. Seeds in the ground. I'm looking forward to watching them grow and produce a crop. There's no guarantees as we carve a farm. Out of this wild land. That was undisturbed forest just 2 weeks earlier.

Corn up that far north might be interesting… maybe try a rotation of spring wheat and field peas if the corn doesn’t work out. Both are shorter growing season

We already have that in the rotation once we get the fields organized now that everything is just about cleared. The corn we are using is 70 to 75 day maturity. Thanks for watching and stayed tuned for next summer.
