Great video! Love the telemetry displays. After watching a bunch of videos from previous year Cannonball runs, a couple of people had trouble with their aftermarket variators deteriorating pretty quickly, destroying their belts. You may want to bring a replacement set of those weights and two or three belts just in case. Looking forward for future tests as the temps rise, and will definitely follow during the run!

If i could afford it, i would ride the Cannonball with my ADX. I am waiting for the last parts to arrive, but already my ADX slowly start to look like a proper rally bike. Braking in the ADX is done and i noticed he is climbing over the 100km/h mark now and everything runs smoother. The heated grips are mounted but not connected yet, the new, dark, windscreen has been cut to size (angle grinder method), a genuine Sym luggage rack has been mounted. The handle bar has internal end weights which made him 5 cm wider (2.5 cm / 1 inch on both sides) because i am 1.96 tall. The Acerbis rally hand guards are mounted., The bar-end mirrors are mounted. The extra switches are mounted but not connected yet. The analogue roadbook is mounted. The aluminium rally tower i have made is ready for painting as well as some other self made aluminium mounts. I have the new action camera's, 2 DJI Action 4's, one on the bike, the other on the helmet. A small 10 amp powerbank for on the helmet is arrived but i still need to make a mount to fit it on the old Sony action cam quick mount system. With this powerbank the DJI camera can run 14 hours non-stop on 4K, 60fps. Now i thinking about making a channel for the Sym called ADX Adventures, but due to the high sensorchip it will probably not be on youtube. By the way, i would not mind if you put this entire trip online, provided that you have the camera rolling all the time and there is footage of the entire trip. Now i wait for the last shower to disappear, get my rear end on the ADX and go for the new DJI drone. Sym should give you some support as you sold an new ADX 125 over 3000 kilometers away, for now the only black ADX 125 in the Netherlands..... Without this channel i would never have bought a Sym ADX 125, probably not even a scooter as the original plan, a young used Suzuki AN-650 Burgman, was dismissed because of a notorious and very expensive 50K - 60K CVT problem most of them wil get.

Last Oktober I bought a new Sym Jet 14 (50 cc). It goes 60 kph on the clock, after a modification. Before that I wanted to know more about the brand Sym and found a vid of Alex about the history of the company. Since then I binged almost all of his raves and vids. Nice that his beginnings were with the 50cc too. But I agree: at least the 125 will be a totally different world. And indeed: because of Alex and his thorough and enjoyable information, I dream about getting my A1 licence too and about the ADX 125. Specifically because of Alexes videos about it. Of course the most important 2 things: the rear suspension and the long distance transmission. So: he sold the Adx to me too. I just haven’t bought it jet… And so: go Sym. Support this man who does a lot for you! Happy for you jps for the ADX you enjoy.

The engine is freshly rebuild, no oil consumption yet. Oil. Change every 2500km

I was kinda wondering how long in advance you need to ship Donnie. Probably 4 to 6 weeks before the cannonball? Anyway, i think i must try that Dr. Pulley variator. If it improves acceleration and sustains speeds at a lower rpm, it'll be a win. Nice dry run. 👍

Nice practice run. Don’t forget to enjoy riding 😁. Curious about consumption and enginerun/speeds at higher temperatures outside. You said somewhere during a ride on the Adx 125 that it was a bit faster than Donnie. How do you compare the both now after this testrun? Could the Adx (is it David?) do the same Cannon Ball speeds and still do 2,8 litres/100 km you scored on a trip with it do you think? I’m happy for you about these results. Thanks for the vid!

"I think we are not going to have any navigations errors on the Cannonball..." Oh, how optimistic! Your downloaded tracks will have to be perfect AND no unplanned road closures AND a lot of luck. Lots of the US has spotty or no cell service and parts along the last cannonball route only had line-of-sight to one or two satellites at a time. You are "fine" with two satellites but only one you have to run on predictive tracking as it cannot even 2D triangulate your location. On the plus side, those areas usually only have one reasonable route to choose until you are out of the Blindspot but your actual location will only be a guess.

Not much difference. The most important is final drive ratio and how gear ratios are in this scooter. Xmax for example even 125 has less rpms at higher speeds,but its engine has 8500 of 15 HP,meanwhile these engines have 12.2 HP at 8000 rpms,but their final drive is very high.Like 10.396 final drive.

Aia e valoarea măsurată de cititorul OBD în portul OBD, nu am mare încredere, chigee - ul care e legat la baterie arata 13.9 și în bord 13.6. Eu zic ca cititorul OBD e puțin optimist cu voltajul. Am verificat și cu multimetru la borne direct și e totul ok
