its funny how Cameron is using the "youve had 13 years" line over and over just as Kier Starmer is now using the "youve had 14 years to do it" line in his TV debate over and over, nothing changes

Brown was terrible in this debate
@chazyazd4110 Жыл бұрын
even though labour had come to their demise, and David cameron was a positive difference - at the time, gordon brown was probably the most ideal candidate for prime minister at the time. And lets not forgot would have not made a catastrophic decision to have a referendum. And as being chancellor for the better of 10 years + i think he understood the economy better than anyone else... anyway thats my opinion. the change was needed but was directed, later, in the wrong way. cameron looked positive for sure. Change was needed at the time but he made a catastrophic decision which was clearly down to his judgement of understanding the people. which obviously, tories always have a difficult time understanding what the working class want. Lesson 101 - you cant give the people too much power. thsts where cameron went wrong.

Would Gordon Brown be through he did propose AV and lets not forget Brown didnt hold a referendum on Scottish independence in his term which led to the poltical situation in scotland we now have
@chazyazd41105 ай бұрын
@@kingthomasthehun8408 Yes we can always remember Cameron as Mr. Referendum. I think that ultimately where he got it wrong: being too democratic. By giving more power to people and allowing extreme idealistic politics (e.g. 'getting back our borders or getting back our waters') policies to radicalise the British people. In conclusion, the demise of Cameron and now we pay the price of not reaping the benefits of being in Europe.

Good campaign, then proceeded to kill the lib dems electoral chances for decades. The frontbench mps who would be prepared to work with the tories had to come from the orange book wing rather than the likes of Kennedy who would never have went into government, destroyed the balance of the party and removed all the labour leaning voters who would vote lib dem tactically. - Alastair Stewart keeps pushing the fact it's the *first ever* one. - The opening statements come in - They all bicker, Cameron unusually sluggish and Brown failing to defend the Government until then in this *first ever* election debate - By the end of the *first ever* election debate, everyone's wasted an hour, except from Nick Clegg, who sees a massive poll bounce. @@danielhuelsman76That didn’t really explain anything… Gordon Brown (the Prime Minister) hoped to sort of “bear hug” Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg and blunt his impact by saying he was in agreement with him and his party on many issues. Unfortunately for him, in the heat of the moment Brown frequently resorted to just saying “I agree with Nick”, which became a rallying cry for Clegg in what was already a very good debate for him.
