Playing 18 solo stroke play is a different game. I can see why Grant wanted to do this so badly. Best ball, scrambles and shambles are super fun formats but these formats (when played as often as these guys do) can be somewhat detrimental to your own game because every time you come out you're just ripping everything 110% because you have 2 or 3 other dudes to rely on. But when you have no one else to rely on you really do need to think about every shot differently (and execute it to the best of your ability). All the guys seemed to get off the tee fine (at least in play), but GIR and proximity to the pin is what will continue to highlight Grant as the best golfer in this group. That's not a dig on anyone else, these guys are smart and will take away from this what they need to individually practice on and come back stronger in a future round, for sure. Can't wait for part 3 and the future majors!
@NicoKristianLund2 жыл бұрын
I would say that both Garrett and Tig can play at or around his level. Especially Tig can get there and does a lot of 9 hole rounds on his own channel. The other 3 guys have never been in the same conversation, and they make solid content with their focus on scrambles etc. :)
@myname33302 жыл бұрын
I think Garret is STILL leading in GIR and proximity to the hole. His putting this 6 holes was atrocious. 4 consecutive 3 putts from within 30 feet is bad. Actually its god awful, "bad" isn't strong enough.

Keep your head up Matt! Everyone has a bad day on the course! Go bubbie Golf!!!

Okay, the editors totally FCKD this round up and if they’ve been doing this the whole time, I can’t believe I didn’t notice. Thankfully someone in the comments pointed this out. They’re showing what the golfer’s score is going to be after the hole, before they even play the hole. You know what the golfer made on each hole before they even hit from the tee if you know what they are going into the hole. **Spoilers** For instance, on the last two holes you can clearly see Garrett’s score is -1 at the tee box but he was -2 at that tee box. He scores bogey but you already knew that. Then, on the 6th hole you see he is Even on the tee box and you know he’s making bogey again. Come on now. Hoping that isn’t the case for Part 3 tomorrow. Please!! Don’t ruin the suspense!!

Yeah, I did notice something strange with Garrett's score and now that you mention this, you're right.

Good to see some reality. I always play stroke play on the course and it's a grind. Golf is hard haha especially if you get fixated on a score. Watching the boyz always play best ball and match play type games makes you forget the difference in stroke play when every shot and putt matters. Would love to see more stroke play type stuff from the crew.

Stroke golf is awfully humbling, coming out of group challenges and scramble play. Keep up the hustle boys. Love the content!

I feel bad for Matt. He’s one of the most consistent golfers I’ve seen and to see him so frustrated and quiet makes me feel for him

hat tip to Garrett for doing his best to stay positive when Steve and Matt were struggling so much. Hard to play well when the people around you are not.
@kylerscott28762 жыл бұрын
This is honestly so true. You can tell how hard Garrett was trying to stay in his own place mentally and not buy into the negativity so hats off to him. But it can be really over whelming mentally when you are trying to stay in it. Really admire Garrett for staying supportive and positive.

@@kylerscott2876 yea the vibes were noticeably down when matt and steve were playing bad but at least Garrett kept the energy up
@Skumtomten12 жыл бұрын
@@kylerscott2876 Yeah. The best feeling is when everyone is playing well and have a great time. Unfortunately that is rarely the case with golf. Not only is it a very technically tough game, but it is even more mentally challanging.

bubies energy is just the best thing, very much looks at the best of things is very refreshing to see. Same with garret just Vibing really. as for the others when you aren't playing golf your best and making mistakes its really hard to keep optimistic and cool to see the guys play an 18 hole.

Always tough to see Matt and Michas energy down. Can tell both guys are so competitive. I'd be cussing so much so the fact these guys can keep composure on camera is impressive lol

Scramble format, best ball, knockout golf is all fun and games and lots of laughs. Stroke play and suddenly the happy go lucky boys are just like the rest of us. They get easily deflated on bad shots and lose their giddy up and positivity. Stroke play is golf. Stay after it boys!

Love this content boys! One thing you guys could do in the next major... After every 6 holes... substitute 1 player from each group, so that you got a fresh face for the next 6 and also for the last 6 holes...this will allow the viewers as well as the players to keep their environment fresh
