As an only child who’s estranged from family on both sides…this is my dream. I come from an incredibly toxic and abusive Asian family as well and I’m determined to create a beautiful blended family one day with traditions like yours. To me that is bliss. Or a successful man/marriage? They're winning in life. Nothing wrong w/ deserving the best in this life in addition to love/culture in the mix. I think if a mother truly loves her daughter, she would support her daughter's love even if she were with an average man. While you are entitled to your opinion, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter it's entertaining, informative maybe, and it's really none of our business anyways. I think more blended families need to be celebrated it's not common especially in VN cultures.

Meeting up at my grandmas house was a family tradition my whole life. It was the best days for everyone. She died 4 years ago and people just drifted away. I miss it all thee time
