Too much control. Too much force. I know superficially, we can see the 'outcome' of the said parenting based on the society's standards of success. However, the internal 'damage', if there is any, is beyond of our outsider's grasp to fathom. I am partucularly curious because as an adult, I am hoping to find a 'pattern' of how to parent my future children and I know it is the most difficult task and responsibilty.

Gantong ganto ako sa papa ko. :) Lumaki akong OFW Both parents ko pero nung first year highschool ko naoperahan si papa sa puso kaya umuwi siya at nagstay. Nung una hostile pako and all, which is I regret kasi naging mapride ako. 😊😊 Wala talagang tatalo sa God's perfect time. 🥰

Me and dad wasn’t close as well. 5 kaming babaeng anak, but walang close sakanya. Tahimik siya, and doesn’t really converse to us much, he only jokes with us when he’s drunk. My dad’s a police officer, so he was always away, and kung umuuwi siya, I was uncomfortable, I didn’t really want to talk to him or anything, cause he’s boring, quiet and super strict, and pag may sinabi siya dapat sundin mo agad cause he has a short temper, I envied others bc they were so close with their dad. But as I grew older I realized the blessing of having a father. Yes, serious and tahimik papa ko, but never niya kaming pinagbuhatan ng kamay, siguro napalo niya kami non, but it’s to discipline us. He’s quiet, but grabe siya makinig. Akala mo hes so quiet pero he always listens to everything, na bigla ka nalang niyang pagsasabihan kung may hindi ka magandang sinabi. My dad’s caring, and loving. I can feel that. He may not be that “Fun” and “Perfect” dad, but I know he loves us. So much. And I do as well.
