I'ma argue that Lockdown was an Animated character before he was a movie-verse concept character.

The toy is heavily based on the hunt for the Decepticons look over the animated in my opinion. HFTD isn’t Animated Lockdown. Same way you wouldn’t say HFTD Optimus is G1 Optimus. So to me, Lockdown is Movieverse

He was Actually in IDW before both. This figure is likely meant to be Animated Lockdown, but the resemblance to HFTD Lockdown is likely because the HFTD one was based off the Animated design. So in short Your both right.

I figured he was more of a pastiche of Bayverse and Animated Lockdowns. Glad you like him, I have one on pre-order and plan on picking up a couple more assuming he ever shows up in retail

Yes he is a mix of both lockdowns! The chest design in particular is Animated Lockdown’s design! The head is very faithful to the HFTD toy so that’s why I’ve leaned towards Movieverse!

I luckily found lockdown at my local Walmart I hid it so I could later buy and he's a pretty nice figure

I'd actually say a better comparison for his vehicle mode is alot like the modified and heavily altered Interceptor from Mad Max Fury Road where it's got the new boosters on the back and other stuff

I just wish there was a piece to make the hook look like it comes out of his arm

I wish I had this figure, but my only problem is that the hook hand is just an add-on and not made like it's a part of him, like he lost his hand and replaced it with one of his mods. Also, I wish he was a brand new mold cause I think lockdown is one of those characters that deserves his own new mold, but other than that, I'm fine with him.

Got mine from Walmart’s website and hopefully Road Pig in September; I usually prefer to peg his exhaust pipes in his legs facing forward, and in the middle of the car mode swept back

No. The arms have to fold in and the guns make the back of the car

This is definitely not a movie verse lockdown. It i pretty dang obviously an animated inspired Junkeon retool. Neither of which are movieverse.

HFTD in my opinion is what he’s based on- hence the almost identical head. I understand that HFTD lockdown takes after the animated design but they’re not the same character, same way you wouldn’t say Bayverse Prime is G1 Prime
