So... Stopping rebirth wasn't a dogmatic concept of cessation of the reincarnation of soul, but a continual liberation of attachments of the skandha's? That is a new insight for me... I thought the concept of reincarnation was, still, a dogmatic assumption Siddharta believed himself. Or is it both? Thanks for your time and Teaching, Br Phap Hai

Thank you Brother. Your point at around 50:00 about "is it the pain/illness (etc- insert your suffering of choice here) that's the problem or our reaction to it?" I completely agree, and know in most cases it's my mind's reaction that's at the very least the worst of my psychological suffering, but.... I looked deeply into pain at one point in my meditation, trying to find WHAT IS IT THAT DOESN'T LIKE THIS??? I looked deep and hard and found nothing- and YET- somehow I KNEW I DIDN'T LIKE IT. It did have some sort of inherent quality that inspired aversion, even though I couldn't place the connection between the sensation- which was clearly just sensation- and the aversion, which I experienced as some sort of inherent, almost hard-wired response of deep levels of the mind which I have no conscious access to. I don't know mine is a useful question to even address, and I don't know if you respond to questions or requests, but I would love to hear your response to it. My teacher's response was... it was a little unclear to me, but basically that there was nothing to find- there is just aversion connected to pain. Perhaps it's just biological... or....???? again, I'm sorry, my point/question is very difficult to articulate and I'm not sure I'm clear, but if you can I'd love to hear your comment.

It's ironic you are smiling and joyfilled explaining the First Noble Truth. That Truth is so deeply distressing, so profoundly unnerving that if it's truly understood, a person can become deeply apathetic. It says it's impossible to escape unhappiness, and any choice you make will fail.

What’s the nature of reality? My reality is conditioned through my senses and interpreted by my mind. It’s a story I tell myself. My reality is an illusion. I am an illusion. My world is an illusion. (I am happy with that). So, I think I’ll make my world a nice one by ending suffering. How do I end suffering?
