8/10. I overall loved it. I had issues with a few things but they went through loops to make it work by the end. There was something about the ending I didn’t like at first but without spoiling it for anyone I see the potential in what they did and that could be a good thing or a bad thing (all I’m saying)

No not that I can tell. There is a character named Luz that did give me a Baylock vibe though.

@ horrorand coffee... I was just wondering if you are mostly upset with the lore change still ( admittedly, it's a major narrative change) they seemed to have pulled off without lasting impact on the movies we already know. Is there more to it that left you unsatisfied? EDIT: I may have made the incorrect assumption that the filmmakers did the LEAST INTRUSIVE retcon they could have made and had damiens father take a jackal like form to impregnate the human mother. A basic switch but at least that would have still had jackal DNA present so it doesn't throw off the rest of the franchise too much... but based on the reviews I'm seeing. .. nope. Seems they may have completely erased that major character trait.... why? Because some Hollywood goofball decided that's too fantastical? We're dealing with supernatural biblical horror in the first place! That's kind of the basis of faith in the first place isn't? Believing in things that defy proof ? Smh Still looking foreword to seeing this Tuesday.

Hi from a fellow New Yorker. I just found your channel & heard your accent & I knew you were from NYC. I went to see the movie at the Alamo Drafthouse Yonkers location. I saw your trailer review & totally forgot about Damien being born from a Jackal. I really enjoyed the movie , but I am disappointed in such a huge change to the original storyline.

I also saw it in Yonkers! Thank God they added reclining seats! I thought the movie was good! Great story, very creepy, and GRAPHIC!!! Will see it again, but on rental, and with subtitles lol

I've just watched the film i thought it was ok.But I'm very disappointed after the birth and ending scenes

I have to watch again but my initial feeling is that it’s garbage. It was beautifully shot but I think there were scenes that lingered too long that really lead no where. I’m bummed. ☹️
