This is why most of my viewing these days are various channels here on KZbin. Broadcast/cable TV is mosty garbage these days, especially since the rise of "reality TV". Here, I can find videos which inform and can hold my interest.
@koharumi1 Жыл бұрын
It is because they are trying to get maximum profits. So everything from the good channels has turned into "reality tv shows" or spitting out conspiracy theories. That is what earns the most for them. Or whoever is at top management decided science isn't worth it anymore. At least in America I believe this is happening.

@@harrietharlow9929reality TV is by far the most profitable. You don't need to pay for actors, writers, directors, etc. You just need a very loose script, videographers, and editing/producing. Same revenue from advertising and whatnot. So networks found that super profitable business model and went crazy with it.

THIS is what I wish all documentaries were like! I don't even have a diagnosed seizure disorder and there have been docco's that I really wanted to watch but couldn't look at because every scene had ten cuts that all involved a loud noise and a flashing light. I lasted half an episode and even then every cut made me wince. One of the medical docs I tried to watch had flashing siren lights up the sides the screen the whole time. I lasted ten minutes on that one. Your videos should be mandatory viewing for anyone starting out making docco's. Thank you so much! I can actually watch, listen & hear what you're saying without feeling like I'm about to have a fit or something. Joins the ranks of my favourite documentaries - alongside RPA & most of Attenborough - good company ^_^

I'm 45 and the technology kind of crept up on me. One day it just hit me that I'm living in the future and everyone's suddenly got a Star Trek gadget. I now understand what my late grandma meant when she said "You don't realise what a miracle the telephone is. I can speak to someone in another country!". Me being 7 years old didn't see anything special about it, I just thought she was easily impressed. Now I'm impressed more every day, while my son doesn't give a second thought to mobile phones and 24h internet access. It's the most natural thing in the world for him.
