Funny story...My anthropology prof, who studied Egypt decades before I was born, was tricked into buying a piece of pottery that was a fake. They had collected pottery shards from ancient sites, crushed them, and reworked the clay. When he returned and had it dated, the use of ancient shards also fooled the dating process. One of his fellow anthropologists pointed out a tiny flaw that proved the clay pot was a fake...after he returned to the states. The pot now resides in a place of honor on his mantle...proof that even the "experts" can make mistakes. This has nothing to do with this video...I just remembered it while they were discussing the ancient pottery, and thought it was an amusing story to share.

It might interest you to know that after the *Roman Empire* abandoned *Britain* there were tourists buying *Roman* artefacts - but there weren't enough of them so the *Britons* of the time made _fakes_ for sale. This was about 1,500 to 1,300 years ago!

Samuhel Tompkins Joanne has been studying Egypt for decades, and compiling the information collected from many Egyptian scholars. Since there are zero scholars among the citizens of Egypt, only the people who wish to rape the country of its treasures for greed , it is important to have a reasearcher that is willing to openly share her knowledge of the Ancient past.

When looking back this far into the past , there are archeologists, story tellers, historians, and the imposters. Joanne is a historian and archeologist. Her intention is to help us understand the past in some logical way. Since most Ancient cultures had no written language , it takes an open minded genius to look for the common man side of the civilization to understand the history.

Why is there so much argument about spelling? According to most linguistic authorities the usual spellings of _civilis/zation_ are both correct, are both common in most *Anglophone* countries and no such authority considers this controversial. Pedantry in spelling is only useful where it prevents misunderstanding. Otherwise it's simply arrogance.
@ErinBudgets
@ErinBudgets 4 жыл бұрын
I believe the arrogance you’ve give in your response of how well you know the English language is staggering. You’ve attacked people as though you are superior purely because they do not hold the same interests as yourself. Not everyone is ‘obsessed’ as some, and considering it is a British English presenter, the use of ‘s’ is understandable. However, considering this is bloody KZbin, not the history channel or NatGeo this video is open to many people of many nationalities who may not use English as a first language, thus may be used to a certain spelling. You appear to be the instigator for many an argument that can be resolved with a simple, “oh it’s the British spelling, not American but the same word”.
@philaypeephilippotter6532
@philaypeephilippotter6532 4 жыл бұрын
@@ErinBudgets 1. It is not arrogance. I never said that *_I_* am an authority. I did say I've been studying *English* for a long time, which I have. I _did_ say that people shouldn't be pedantic about language, which I believe. 2. I have _attacked_ no-one. Why do _you_ say I have and who do _you_ think I've attacked? 3. I didn't say anything about the presenter. What I said was that both spellings are current in both *_English_** English* and *_US_** English* and all the other variations. This is true according to all authorities. 4. I'm not _obsessed_ with anything. Why do _you_ think I am and what do _you_ think I'm obsessed with? What I said was in response to a post that said that the _z_ spelling in such words as _civilization_ was *_US_** English* rather than *_British_** English.* All I said then was that either spelling is acceptable both here and there. Misguided spelling pedants can upset quite rational people by telling them that they're wrong when they're not. They are usually very didactic.

15:12, animals represent zodiacal houses from the Great Year . Ram =Aries , LION =Leo, Bull( cow)= .Taurus , etc The zodiac divided into 12 roughly equal time segments of approximately 2,160 years each were used to denote which family branch of the feuding Anunaki bloodline is in power, Rex Mundi, lord of Earth. This is what the oldest accounts tell, from Sumaria. Beyond that is lost to written record because of the last deluge, and what we are told by our controllers about our past. Just saying that the Egyptians did not invent or construct but inherited their world post deluge. Information is for indoctrination , not just education anymore.

The Dispilio tablet, the Gradeshnita tablet, and Danube Script are all older than pictograph “tax tags” this program says is the first writing. They are currently dated before 5,000 BC. Their problem is that they were not found in Egypt or Mesopotamia. Cuneiform is older than those pictograph tags anyway. 3,400 BC vs 3,250 BC. Those animals and birds on the tax tags, if that is what they are, likely identified a village or city taxes were received from. And why does she think they imitated the sound of the critter, even in their heads, let alone out loud? I have no idea what noises a heron makes, but try to picture that in your mind. “Five bags of wheat from “quack, quack”, ten sheep from “baa, baa”, twenty casks of wine from “moo, moo”.”.

I tell that because I've been there and I've seen that the modern men built a wooden structure as a substitute for it just it, a place to normally walk. It wasn't simply meant for this activity. My point of view is like this: or there is another passage where humans can move on, at least, for a funeral activity without jumps, otherwise, the great PRRAMMID, as Zahi would call it, has been designed as something other than a tomb.

@@justastrider3252 this video has misrepresented the truth by informing people that mummies are from pyramids is laughable when we all know that the pyramids are in Cairo and the Pharaohs are buried in Luxor at the Valley of the Kings or Valley of the Queens respectively. i cant prove a false negative, if it were true by now you would goggled it and came back with... on xxxx date pharaoh xxxxxxx was removed from pyramid xxxxxx but you havnt because that information dosnt exists it has NEVER HAPPENED, EVER...

@@justastrider3252 Hears a little fact you might enjoy,when the British discovered the valley of the kings etc when they came across the Valley of the Artisans, the guys who built everything and did all carvings etc The british used those mummies as fuel for there trains. apparently mummies burn better then coal so they systematical worked they way though maybe a million mummies...

I'm not against Egyptology nor against Joann Fletcher in any way... at the contrary, This is an awesome documentary, but there's one thing ... only 1 thing at the very beginning of the video that might make you understand what is destiny. She said the Image of riding a camel at the pyramids is completely misleading :))) well in the realm of: there are no coincidences ... Let me remind you that the Camel is the Ship of the desert ;) and THIS ship is the one that truly deserves to have the sun on top of its head if ever this was a thing of truth...

Like. But that civilization's "zenith" was rather low, as compared to what followed. It was not their fault. of course. They were among the pioneers of development of civilization to its inevitable end.

I hate that when talking about the civilizations on the Nile, we only hear about upper and lower Egypt. Nubia built pyramids also. Is the issue that they did not fit into the caucasian way of thinking?

In the Bible, we are told that while Moses was trying to bargain with Pharaoh for the Jews release so they could sacrifice to YHWY, Pharaoh's suggested that they do their sacrifices there. But Moses replied that would be against their laws and religion, because the Egyptians worshipped the bull, if they were to sacrifice a bull in their presence, they would be killed. This is also said in the books of Jasher and Jubilees. I love to read these books. They are truthful & inspiring. Of course many do not believe this, in this modern time. People have accepted the sciences as their gods. It's funny that many scientists believe in the old pagan gods and Kabbalah.....While they teach there is no God.

I see that figure dressed all in black with the black parasol and know that I am off on an adventure of exploration in Egypt. Joanne is forever saying that she thinks or believes things to be this way or that. She always seems to be open to another opinion on the country and culture. I also know that I am being spoken to NOT at like a child or ignorant person. The fascination through her speech patterns makes things both educational and interesting to me.

I like the delivery of the sunkljevt matter however. Is it not a fact that the Pyramids are not burial mounds and they are not 3000 to 5000 years old. Unfortunately for me. This good programme will have no meaning. WHY do you not look st the Archeology not the myth and lies of the history.
