Riding the 2023 Polaris Sportsman 850 for the FIRST TIME! In this video we head to The Vaughn Farms for Farm Bash with some old riding buddies of mine to put the new Highlifter Sportsman 850 into its first mud holes. I think the Polaris makes a good machine. The sportsman’s are good trail bikes, but when it comes to the mud, I think Can-Am is a little better. I know I may be biased because I have a 23 outlander.

Man I think from the factory these Highlifters def come more equipped, I’d feel a lot more confident on a stock highlifter than a stock XMR going on a ride with buddies who had built bikes.

@@mandytuningno and they don’t need them Polaris use a awd system which is quite a bit different then most atvs. Polaris sense wheel slippage in the diff and they can lock up with limited slip when needed sending power to any wheel it is effective! They actually stay in 2nd even with awd engaged. They used to have some problems but they have refined it over time.

Love my new (first atv) outy1kxmr but ive been lookin hard at the HLs for a few years. Starting to wish they brought these '23s out earlier in the year along with the rest of the lineup and I might have gotten one instead. Love that blue and metalic grey on the 1k. Now that the new has worn off of new sporty bodies, the old body HL just looks clean.

Dude I just bought me a 23 high lifter to she's a unit man. What all do I need to do to mine before taking it into mud like this? Do I need smoke test and all that or what? Or is it ready to send? What did you do to this one before taking it out in this video?
