The First Run at Chuck’s AMAZING O-Gauge Layout - The UP & PRR Railroad

Hi train friends! My very good friend Chuck has been busy building a new layout, and on April 15th 2023 I got to run trains on it for the first time! He’s doing a great job so far and it’s going to be really nice when he’s done! I did forget to mention in the video he is putting in a 6ft bridge that will be elevated with the track having a grade up to it on the back side of the town area.

The backdrop scenes are the best I've seen. The water in their foreground makes them look 3 dimensional extending the look far beyond what is there.

So 2 main ovals, some nice, very long runs with wide curves for big steam, within arms reach for easier landscaping. Much like my 18 by 24 ft new trainboard. Will be interesting to compare progress in our similiar layouts. Best of luck doing all that landscape and modeling. Gary

Thanks so much, Pete! I’m not sure about the planning. I think he had help from a friend. I kinda suggested the lift up bridge to be able to stand in the center. He probably was already going to do that tho
