I think it would be cool with a 800 2 stroke and a 155-163 inch track, it would be unbeatable in the mountains. You could carve in between trees that nothing else could, you have the light weight and you don't have to hop over the seat to change directions. The mountain guys would love this.

Experienced dirt biker here, have ridden rented snow bikes in CO, the problem with them in powder and at elevation even a 450cc MX bike engine, that would rip your arms off in a dirt bike, feels very put upon. I had that poor 450 pinned and revved out a lot! To be fair I was over 10K elevation and riding in crotch deep powder on a rented machine, which got ridden like a rental! In contrast, the Polaris 800 powder sled we had along had stupid ski lofting and truly scary scenery blurring effortless power that the elevation and deep conditions seemingly did little to blunt. That twin cylinder snowmobile engine would be violently fast at sea level. The single ski on a snowbike wanders a lot in hardpack but is great in soft snow as along as you carry more speed than shown in this video, as speed brings stability. I imagine this machine isn't much different. The "wandering" single ski really is no big deal if the rider has any skill at all and they can go fast enough for the ski to "come in" and take a set and work properly. The single ski has traits to deal with, but on the snow bike anyway, it was all part of the fun, but I'm not sure if this machine has adequate power to make all that happen. It did look like it was going pretty good starting at around 4:05 with perhaps a little more in it. Pin it to win it - lemme hammer on that thing, I'll tell ya 😆 Yep, drop a 300cc two stroke 6 speed dirt bike motor in there and this could be extremely interesting. Of course having a 52HP water cooled 2T engine in there would make this expensive, and not sure how the gear shifter would work out either.

Seems like this would require skill to balance since it's not on wheels. With a motorcycle the laws of physics apply so that you don't need to try to balance since as long as you're going more than 10 miles per hour the bike balances itself, because the rotation of the wheels it wants to stand up. This however doesn't have 2 wheels so those laws of physics, inertia would not apply here.

Looks like fun, but at $7500, I can't see myself buying one. Seems like once you master the balance and control to the point that you could really flog it, the entire bike would quickly become underwhelming. As for being used for transportation in dense areas, this type of activity usually includes cargo or camping gear, and now you are relegated to a proper backpack for even the basics to camp out. In the end, it's a razor scooter for the snow... not much else.
