Part of reason swedes dont use creamers in coffee because if you drink 2-3 coffees a day it really adds up in sugar and fat intake and over a few years can make a huge difference in your weight.

@swedishgirl666: Instead of Coffee, they can opt for a mug of MOCHA flavored HOT CHOCOLATE! ;-D Have you ever noticed how much "sugar" Americans put in their desserts, beverages, bread, etc. There is even an American southern drink call "SWEET TEA"! It is usually served ice cold and it has an incredible amount of SUGAR in it! They also have a beverage that's call KOOL-AID & Country Time Lemonade Mix (that you literally add a lot of SUGAR to)! I believe that desserts in Europe and Asia are NOT loaded with a lot of refined sugar. Unfortunately, in the USA the children are raised on great portions of "sugar" due to the US manufacturers processing just about everything with it. There are even small traces of SUGAR in their savories! Well, I will ask you to have mercy on them when it comes to the brothers "desiring" sweet & flavored creamers in their black coffee. After all, that is what they (along with all the rest of Americans) are used to...really SWEET, SUGARY beverages-including COFFEE! But, don't get me wrong...not all Americans like sweet flavored creamers in their coffee (they are referred to as PURIST). Just keep in mind that these American boys have probably been subjected to "sugary" things most of their lives. Give them a break...because it's a cultural thing! LOL

Fun fact though: Stockholm could roughly be translated to Log Islet, basically because the word "stock" means "log" and "holm" is a cut off version for "holme" which means "islet" (I guess that somewhere on the way they just skipped the "e" out of the "Stockholm" because of laziness). The town got established in the late 1100's and were made the capital of Sweden in 1634.

About the high protein in everything: swedes are really quick to follow trends and hook up on different diets to stay healthy and try new things. A few years ago 5:2 diet was a big thing everyone was talking about and trying out, more recently everything starting to be labelled ”gluten free!” to make it seem healthy. I think all products shouting ”high on protein!” is another health trend we’re a bit hooked to right now. Wearing gym/running clothes as an outfit even if you’re not going to the gym is also a thing right now. I think swedes in general try hard to stay fit (or at least to seem like we’re fit).

My question is - is it hard to get visa to stay and work in Sweden? We take in so many ppl from other countries and they get to stay, so I hope it is not too hard for you guys to get work permits and stay. I grew up in Lund Sweden, but went to the US as an AuPair and I was going to stay for 1 year, that year turned out to be a little over 21 years and I recently moved back home. I won a greencard in the lottery so that way I could stay in the US. I moved back home after so many years mainly because new values with age, and family means more too. I am 44 and have not really had a real vacation period like we do here in Sweden. I went from working full time with 10 days off a year, to working 70% back home in Sweden with 5 weeks paid vacation - that to me is gold! I have been home less than a year and had totally forgotten about the creamers I use to buy. They are a bit sweet but very tasty, and I especially like the one during the Christmas season, peppermint mocha, pumpkin spice but hazelnut and french vanilla are great as well. I may have a new job and with that have many stops in the US and I would love that. Get some things I miss from the US and bring back home. ONE thing I do miss that comes before In and Out burger is Taco Bell... Hands down LOVE authentic Mexican food, but some days you just want Taco Bell... When I lived in Houston I loved the Whataburger - so I guess I miss a lot of foods from the US. Hamburger helper with the potato slices - nasty bu yet oh so good. Rice a roni, and my favorit store, Trader Joe's... But I don't have to drive to Ikea to get my crispbread and kaviar in a tube anymore / and we do hav Max burger which is pretty good, though I don't care for the fries, too thin for me - I guess I am a size queen... Keep the videos coming! Have a great summer...

I spent two days in Gothenburg. I tried to pronounce it "Yot - e - Boree" but I could not be understood. I thought that was the Swedish way to pronounce Gothenburg. I wanted to see the Fish Market but it was closed. I stayed at a hotel called Barken Viking and it was hard to find at night, when my flight landed. Next time I go to Sweden, I am not staying at Barken Viking. I noticed that there were a lot of Espresso House coffee shops that had racks of trays for returning leftover dishes. I only remember seeing those racks of trays in Ikea shops in the US. I saw some convenience stores called Pressbyran that reminded me of 7-11 in the US. I changed my currency at a Pressbyran at the airport. When I rode the trains, I got around the city easily. The buses did not stop until I pushed a red button that said "Stannar." I found out by missing my stop. I also noticed that the Kanelbullar looked different. They had white sugar dots instead of frosting.

My grandma used to put cream in her coffee, It wasn't my cup of -tea- coffee, I've tried with creamer and it tasted similar but I just don't get it...give it to me as black as possible.

Hello Stefan! I’m swedish and love your videos about our country, you represent us very well and I’m so glad you like it! :) for the coffee, have you heard about Oatly iKaffe? It’s like a coffee creamer made by oats, a healthier and delicious option! very popular by vegans and nonvegans and you can find it everywhere

Fanny Engström I have tried a lot of Oatly products but none of them have been sweet like the creamers in America. Perhaps there’s some that I haven’t tried yet 🙈

My family don't celebrate midsummer. Never done. So what is the special Dance 2 små grodorna? And the song? 😂😂🙈🙈

Fun fact!! "små grodorna" actully is a French army marsch from the napoleon era, in the lyrics they sing about onions. The british heard this song and changed it to the frog marsch and someone heard that one and brought it to sweden. The british called the french frogs for some reason. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e52te3Z3qrCmorM

Because French people eat frog legs lol. The French call the English “rostbeef” bc the English eat Roastbeef every Sunday for lunch (it’s called Sunday roast).

You can ask for syrup at different coffee places, there’s vanilla flavored etc. and then just ask for high fat milk I guess 🤪

It's how you are used to drinking the coffee. I tried with sugar, cream and even milk (and a blend of these) but the coffee actually taste worse. Hot, strong and black, that has always been the best flavour to me.

1:00 Don't worry Christian, I'm Swedish and I don't like fish either so I do the same thing.
