I'm in the same dilemma with my Evo IX. Bought it new in '07 and has a little over 34K miles. Lightly modded with all the bolt ons, turbo, intake, exhaust, intercooler, etc. but stock motor/trans exterior and interrior. Now I'm torn leaving it alone for the fact its worth more not messing with it than making it faster. Thinking the same of getting another ragged out one I can build and leave the garage queen alone.

I knew I was going to want to mod mine. So I found a very fair deal on a RHD Factory TT/Auto. Its still a one owner very clean example. But Definitely got a better deal being its auto. Planning to do the Granny's and a Big Single Setup.

I know it's a lot more money now but that rhd supra can get you something way cooler in the future. Let our past dream take care of our future projects! If not just keep it, and leave it stock, and live to tell the cars legacy when you have kids. I have a bitter sweet feeling as I just fully build my stock 2015 evo x with only 30k miles and that doesn't even compare to the supra lol. Shout out to piston, he huge!

I wish you could buy brand new dsm parts. Headlights, body panels, bumpers, interior pieces, trim, weather seals. Etc. or that more manufactures would do a heritage program like Nissan. I get an eclipse probably wouldn’t be involved with a program. Or I wish somebody would produce replacement rockers, strut towers, etc.

If you do sell it. Make sure you sell it to someone who won’t do the reason why you want to sell it in the first place. If you sell it to buy a beater you will have hell with every crusty bolt that’s rusted together and every bushing being worn out. Vs the clean example.. well being clean lol. Chances are someone is going to buy your clean example to go single turbo and build it.

I would do a full detail job before I sell it I know some people might think oh it's too clean and perfect there has to be something wrong with it but trust me some cars holds their value I hope you get a lot in return for this one and I really hope you don't mod it just buy a clapped one and just go ham this one is too good

I'd just modify that supra with the intention of it being able to be reverted back to standard. Find an engine to build put the standard engine on the shelf tidy up the bodywork change the wheel colour leave the interior standard don't tint it. A clean wolf in sheep's clothing, doesn't have to be 1000+hp with carbon pieces of kit all over it with racing seats to be a nice supra.

If you are going to build the motor and/or really want to go through the full restoration experience I would trade/ sell it. If you are just going to do an OEM+ build with basic bolt ons I would keep it.

Market for a rhd turbo isn’t as high as a LHD turbo but even clapped non turbos are selling for 30k+ if you get a LHD you have some margin to make money if it’s another rhd not much
