I was a member of the United Steel Workers at the paper mill I worked at for 35 years. The change I experienced in the rank & file members from the Obama regime to the Trump administration was remarkable. The vast majority of union members loved what Trump did and even some of our leadership said in private that they wanted Trump.

Probably because the UAW didn’t ask the rank and file like the Teamsters did. I have watched Union politics for 60+ years. The Union elites (Bosses, management, leaders, whatever) decide where the union dues go in politics that benefit them not the average man or woman. No clearer case than with the teachers unions. Public schools are rotting away in some cities. Teachers are attacked, abused and mistreated by students and administrators, still no changes. UAW doesn’t have the teeth they used to since foreign cars got more popular and fewer people are needed to build cars.

These local unions are endorsing Harris behind their members backs, that is a fact, because I am in a Union and my union flat out lied about not endorsing any candidate, but when I did some digging, they in fact were endorsing Harris. Unions had their place in the past but do little to nothing to help the employees they were hired to protect.
