No, Sai Baba, the first one, a contemporary of Meher Baba, was a Perfect Master, not The Avatar like Meher Baba.

Meher Baba also said that he-the avatar- came as Zarathustra _and_ Gautama Buddha. Zarathustra lived some time between 624 BC and 522 BC, and Gautama Buddha lived some time between 563 BC and 400 BC. So, they lived at least within decades of each other and possibly were even alive at the same time.

yes, but 'common sense' is not appropriate in the spiritual context. When you understand the truths that Baba emanated, you can see that only God incarnate as Avatar could possess such vast esoteric insight. It is truly written in the word of God for us. This means it was written as higher truth in his language first. Then simplified to be converted to ours for our meager intellectual convulsions on the issues that seemingly surround God. It takes a second pair of eyes already to see a fraction of what the Bible offers. It may seem obvious now, but you have to okay with the ignorance outside yourself, you needn't renounce that, only your inner world. Baba never asked for a one world religion, he likened the human diversity to God having infinite individuality, none of his souls could ever have the same exact path, yet they are all the same because they are all on the path to God.

It is the state of God that is without comprehension, we don't have the capacity to know some secrets of the universe, they must be taught in lessons and symbolisms. The God in Absolute is both Ishwar and Paramatma, Paratmatma being infinite consciousness and Ishwar being infinite unconsciousness, Paramatma IS Allah, Is the Father of the trinity, Trinity is an expression to tell people about the emanative states of God. Holy Spirit being the essence of being, the Father being Meher Baba (only brought to us out've infinite love and compassion, which are God's attributes) and the Son which is us. Holy Spirit as essence of being, is the beyond beyond, God in this is state is neither manifest in form nor formless and neither attributeless nor qualitied, he is outside your capacity and you can never fit him within capacity of thought idea or imagination. God is outside imagination. God is an acronym for Generator Observer Dissolver, This is another expression for the universes enamatives states, The universe was generated at one point, we call this the big bang theory and the point of creation or the ohm point, so the universe was set into being, by the law of cause and effect something cause the universe into the effect it is today, the Observer is whats inside you observing this. and the dissolver is when God grace joins your consciousness into the oversoul (paramatma), you must dissolve yourself by renouncing all, thus shive vishnu and mahesh are the hindu Gods representing the traits of a monotheistic nature. This is not simple stuff. The wise men were the qutubs as you put, and it is with keen sight that you take notice to something of the sort. It is a lie to say it is common sense. Common sense of itself is a copout, do God's will and you will be the greatest example, buy we mustnt assume because it makes an ASS outve U and Me, everyone has ignorance in them, as do you. Share your path, but share it with joyful insight with no snares. Better to be ignorant to God than to be a hypocrite by God. More than interpretation does God want you to LIVE the word.

"It happened: One of the most beautiful persons of this past century was Sai Baba of Shirdi. He had a friend and a follower. Sai Baba was a Mohammedan. Or no one knows whether he was a Mohammedan or a Hindu, but he lived in a mosque, so it was believed he was a Mohammedan. And a Hindu follower was there, who loved, respected, has much faith in Sai Baba. Every day he will come for his darshan, and without seeing him he will not go. Sometimes it will happen that for the whole day he will have to wait, but without seeing he will not go, and he will not take food unless he has seen Sai Baba. Once it happened the whole day passed, there was much gathering and much crowd - he couldn’t enter. When everybody has gone, just in the night he touched the feet. Sai Baba said to him, “Why you unnecessarily wait? There is no need to see me here, I can come there. And drop this from tomorrow. Now I will do. Before you take your food you will see me every day.” The disciple was very happy. So next day he was waiting and waiting; nothing happened. Many things happened really, but nothing happened according to his conception. By the evening he was very angry. He has not taken the food, and Sai Baba has not appeared so he went again. He said, “You promise and you don’t fulfill?” Sai Baba said, “But I appeared thrice, not even once. First time I came, I was a beggar and you said to me, ‘Move away! Don’t come here!’ Second time I came I was an old woman, and you just won’t look at me; you closed your eyes-because the disciple had the habit of not seeing women; he was practicing not seeing women, so he closed the eyes. Sai Baba said, “I had come, but what do you expect? Should I enter your eyes, closed eyes? I was standing there, but you closed the eyes. The moment you saw me, you closed the eyes. Then third time I reached as a dog, and you won’t allow me in. With a stick you were standing in the door.” And these three things had happened. And these things have been happening to whole humanity. The divine comes in many forms, but you have a prejudice; you have a pre-formulated conception; you cannot see. He must appear according to you, and he never appears according to you. And he will never appear according to you. You cannot be the rule for him and you cannot put any conditions. When all imagination falls, only then truth appears. Otherwise, imagination goes on making conditions and truth cannot appear. Only in a naked mind, in a nude, empty mind, truth appears, because you cannot distort it."
