I have been doing a devotional podcast this last 2 years, where I go chapter by chapter... this last Fall of 2022, I began the OT. I am now in Leviticus - and your thoughts on the first five sacrifices are invaluable to me. Having the Jewish perspective is proving so valuable to me. Thank you so much - and God's blessings on your endeavors!

Isaiah 1:11 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats Isaiah 1:13 Trample my courts no more! To bring offerings is useless; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and sabbath, calling assemblies- festive convocations with wickedness- these I cannot bear. Psalm 51:16-17 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Amos 5:21-22 “I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them Psalm 40:6 In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required Isaiah 66:3 “He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck; he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers pig's blood; he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol. These have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations. Psalm 81:8 Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me!

Thank you for video. I am korean and Christian.I have two questions. When offering a burnt offering, does the person who prepared the sacrifice kill the burnt offering? Could Israel people also enter the tabernacle? I know, Levite can enter the tabernacle.

Shalom and God bless you. Well, from Leviticus 1:1-8 we learn that the offerer will, #1- Put his hand upon the offering, verse 4. #2- kill the burnt offering, verse 5, #3- Cut the offering, verse 6. But only the Priests offer the offering unto God upon the altar, verse 7-8. Only the priests were allowed to come near the Tent of Meeting. In general, the person offering the animal was to bring it to the door of the Tabernacle, near the Altar but the priests will be the onse who will offer the sacrifice.

@@gideonlevytam7106 Thank you so much. Do you mean that we are allowed to enter courtyard. Are you a Levite? Thank you God bless you . אני אוהב את ישראל

@@소소한일상-r6e Shalom! From Leviticus 1:10-11, we learn that the offerer enters into the courtyard and kills the sacrifice on the side of the altar. As to your second question, our family name comes from the tribe of Levy.
@소소한일상-r6e3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I read all verses. But my pastor said if you are Levite, you can go inside doing offering thing #1#2#3, but you are not, you have to do that outside. So I confused. But now it's clear. Thanks to you. I can't believe that I talked about offering with you Levite. 5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. 6 And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.' This is the message you must give to the people of Israel." (Exodus 19:5-6, NLT) It is the one of favorite words. I pray for your country and you.

@@소소한일상-r6e Shalom again! Remember friend that during these days of the church age, there is no need for a Tabernacle or a Temple on earth. WHY?, Because Jesus the Messiah entered into God's presence in heaven, into a greater Tabernacle, not made with hands. we do not need to be of the tribe of Levy, we need to be a people who trust in the person and work of Yeshua / Jesus the Messiah. He is our great High Priest. Today, we who are believers in Jesus the Messiah can enter into the immediate presence of God by faith.

So why don't jews offer animals anymore? They reject Yehosua, Jesus as final sacrifice! So what is there motive for not obeying the Law?
@jimdillingham51213 жыл бұрын
They have not God designed temple or God designed altar. God took them away through the Roman army. But according to the Bible prophecies there will be another temple and another altar... Jesus will build... and animal sacrifices will be offered again. Just read Ezekiel chapters 40-48
